  1. Player: Maxx Williams Hometown: Waconia, MN School: Waconia Position: MLB Height: 6'3" Weight: 210 40 time: 4.6 Interest: Being recruited primarily by Iowa and Wisconsin. Taken multiple visits to both. Camped at NU in summer 2010. Plays QB and LB in h.s. Great overall athlete. http://rivals.yahoo.com/washingtonpreps/football/recruiting/player-Maxx-Williams-118732 Father is Brian Williams, former NFL lineman with the New York Giants. http://www.highschoolsports.net/local/Minneapolis/article/2010-Prep-Football-All-Metro-Defense-1/ NBC affiliate in Minneapolis: Our All-Metro Punter is Waconia junior Maxx Williams, at 6-3, 210 pounds. He averaged 39 yards a boot on 30 punts this season. But Williams is more than just a punter. He was the Wright County Conference Offensive Player of the Year and had the ability to score every time he touched the ball. Waconia finished 7-3 and Williams will be back next season.
  2. Which is totally awesome, but let's just hope we can swing it next year to best RB, WR, DL and LB classes in the country. Outside of RB this year, we're just so-so at best in the others. Of course, there is time...
  3. Plus Braylon Heards spot, that looks to be vacant now. I'm thinking AG fits the same type of role Braylon Heard did. Maybe Braylon was going to move into the slot with AG aboard. If that's the case and Handley is looked at for the slot, I say go get him. Be great to have a super-athletic slot guy.
  4. Is it just me or is USC no longer just star searching? It seemed in the past they wouldn't even bat an eye at a :star
  5. and ESPN's got him as :star #28 OT... with Scout & Rivals having him at :star :star #8 and #9, respectively
  6. the funny thing is too, ESPY says our ranking pre-AG signing was also #15. Odd...... Yeah it's weird. FWIW, Stanford is ranked ahead of us at #14 yet they have only 1 ESPNU 150 commit with 22 total commitments. Nebraska is ranked behind them at #15 with only 16 commits but have 4 ESPNU 150 commits. I would think NU would get some extra boost in points for having 4 to their 1 ESPNU 150 commits, but since they have 6 more commits overall, that might be the difference in their team rankings at the moment. I'd vote for Duke to be tops then. They've got 24 commits. Typical ESPY spreading themselves thin just to say they are everything about sports: "We have everything covered. Maybe not as good as the next guy, but we're not specialists, just kinda dabblers." Interesting to see how all of these ESPNchicago, ESPNBoston, etc. sites all work out. Can they really compete with the beat writers who've been there for decades? off of my and

  8. I'd love to get two DEs this year but it won't be the end of the world if we just get one solid one. Didn't we get about 5 last year?
  9. Based on numbers we take it seems we look for more jucos at lb than elsewhere. I know we may get a guy like Turene and not have a juco this year, but going after Moody for one of two spots just a year after taking only one lb ... a juco, seems odd. Does Bo need jucos at the position because of who we currently have? I'd love to get more h.s. kids and have more development time, but obviously if we need a juco we need one. Any thoughts from experts?
  10. I like the addition of Peat. personally I wanted him more. Open that door to a great talent with a hugely talented younger brother. Not that that's worked out in our favor recently
  11. I feel like I'm using a CD-ROM that has 10 free hours of AOL on it to load this page. Where's Netscape when ya need it?
  12. knock it off man. You got me drinkin twice as fast. I see what ya did
  13. Oh man, I was totlly sure that he was gonna be until I read this. Maybe Williams is just trying to draw more attention to "The Decision"(AG style). That's my hope. One last little Emmitt Smith hat switch before he pulls the trigger for what honestly is the best decision for him. Unbiased, of course.
  14. Article from San Antonio TV station: “I know a lot of people are saying it’s Nebraska, but he told me he was going to shock the world,” said Madison running back Troy Williams, who has known Green since the fourth grade and is one of his best friends. Tony Green (Aaron's dad) speaks from personal experience. A 1975 Sam Houston graduate, he was at defensive back at Baylor for four seasons under Coach Grant Teaff. His older brother, Gary, now head football coach at Sam Houston, also starred for the Cherokees before going on to an All-America career as a cornerback at Baylor. Here's the whole article: http://www.kens5.com/sports/DAVID-FLORES-Madison-star-Green-reveals-college-choice-Wednesday-night-105844423.html Nothing really new in it. Hopefully the line from Williams doesn't throw everyone into a tizzy. Good luck with your decision Aaron (if you choose correctly )
