Here's a conspiracy for you--Texa$$ holds the conference together just long enough to get BevoTV up and running then starts exploring a move other conferences that since they already have their own network they might as well bring it with them to the new conference, that way an entity like the PAC-10 ro SEC could accept UT and UT will carry their programming without any start-up costs to the new conference.

Not always. Colorado played Notre Dame when they won the NC. We played Florida State in 93 when we should have won the NC except for the last minute field goal by FSU. And we all remember 78 when they made us replay Oklahoma.

I see a lot of Penn St. sites(along with some national sites)that push the same old argument that we got the NC vote because Tom had tried for so long and come up short and so we got sympathy votes. To my recollection PSU defeated Oregon in the Rose Bowl which I would definitely call a nuetral field. Nebraska had to play Miami IN Miami at the Orange bowl. How much more of a home game could you ask for? And just to pick on Miami's supposed domination in the 80's, just how many of their NC's were won on nuetral fields outside the state of Fla.

Just got off the phone with DISH rep. regarding availability. Currently Big Ten Network is available from DISH as an add-on sports package which includes all the FOX sports channels for $7 per month. Also heard a rumor that the Big Ten network may carry some Husker games this year. Anybody else heard anything about that?

Projections are Texas 25 mil, A&M and OU 20 mil, everyone else 17mil. Good luck trying to keep up with the Joneses.

Until someone provides evidence to the contrary, I believe this was all a smokescreen by Texas to get more money from the rest of the league. I don't think they ever had any intention of going to the Pac-10. Now, they will run a conference where every other school has to bow down to Bevis(I mean Bevo)and Butthead(I mean Beebe)anytime those two want something else. Just reinforces why it was time for us to move on.

Or better yet - have the marching band do a B10 formation at half time. TV doesn't usually show the band though. If the field is changed, the world would see it on every play. Dr. Tom would never go for it tho. He's not vindictive like I am LOL

Teddy Greenstien of the Chicago Tribune is reporting that Delany is expected to attend. Any local sightings yet? His article stated that the Big Ten Presidents Council already has our application and a vote will come quickly. He stops short of saying the vote would be taken before the press conference but it seems that would be the onlyu reason Delany would be here. FWIW

I'm looking forward to the revival of games with PSU. I've loved every one of them even though we ended up on the short side of the scoreboard a few more times than I liked. Plus, I have relatives in Pennsylvania that are as rabid about the Nittany Lions as I am about the Huskers. It'll be fun reminding them to make sure that crooked field gets repaired.
