I agree about BJax and Purify, which makes it even harder to understand why they aren't allowed to play more. Makes no sense!

One thing can be said about Bo Pelini - I truly believe he would play to win every single game. We would never feel like we were playing to just get through the game. During the course of a game he would stick with what was working, not change horses mid stream.

I really did think Callahan was the coach to lead us back to the top, but I'm seriously having doubts at this point. The game plan vs. USC was unreal. We didn't play to win, we played to minimize the loss. The I-Back by Committee is a bunch of !@#$. If Jackson were the featured back, I believe he would be one of the best in the country. I wouldn't blame him or any of the other backs if they wanted to transfer. Also, why is it that we play well in the first half and then seem to shut down in the second half? I just don't get it! I love the Huskers and always will, but I wonder if Callahan can do it.

Obviously we don't yet know which bowl game we're going to, but regardless of the bowl game, what team would you love to see us play? I'm not talking about playing Ohio State, which would most likely be for the NC, but just the team. Maybe a team we haven't played in many years or the historical aspect of two storied programs meeting in a bowl game. Notre Dame again would be fun Alabama Georgia (pretty much any SEC team) Ohio State (just to see the Dotting of the I)

Regarding the USC game - I do think Taylor was basically handcuffed. Callahan didn't allow him to do what he is capable of doing.

I think it's going to take one or two wins against highly ranked teams before the national media gives us any love. Our fall was so fast & dramatic after such a long time at the top. I do think the national media enjoyed our fall and it's going to take a while before they once again show us some respect.

At this point in the season, what are your thoughts on Zac Taylor - is he better or worse than you thought he would be coming into the season? I must admit I thought he would be better. He's good, but he just isn't performing like I thought he would.

I know it would have been a long shot, but on the very last play of the game I wish we would have made a field goal attempt instead of the Hail Mary. How often does a Hail Mary actually work, once every 10 years?

I hope we storm the field, but leave the goal posts alone. We've won big games before! True, it's been a while, but we're Nebraska and winning a big game shouldn't come as a shock to us.

I personally think this a dumb idea. It would be cool if the entire student section did it, but it's going to be a mostly red stadium with a sprinkle of black here & there. It will actually look like we are abandoning the tradition of red.

I don't fault Frost for accepting a job at K-State, even though I can't stand K-State. I do think it's good for coaches to experience other programs before getting head coaching positions. Regardless of whether Gill or Frost ever gets the head job at NU, I think it's great that they learned other ways of doing things. I always found it interesting that Solich waited until after he had lost his job at NU before he went out and learned from other coaches and experienced other ways of doing things.

Scott Frost is one of my all-time favorite Huskers. I think he's intelligent, hard working, and was a great representative for not only the Husker program, but for the state. I really hope that he goes far with his coaching career and one day is head coach at NU. I hope Frost returns to NU as an assistant under Callahan and then gets his chance. Anyway, just thinking about Frost standing on the K-State sideline this weekend.

Yeah, I wish Coach Callahan and the rest of the coaching staff were more fired up publicly. I would love to see more emotion when they talk to the media, etc. I'm pleased with Callahan over all, but sometimes he seems like a spin doctor in his news conferences; always giving the correct answer instead of saying what he really feels. College football is all about the emotion, tradition, etc. Callahan treats it more like a business, like the NFL. Fans aren't this passionate in the NFL.

I'm planning my Husker viewing schedule for the next few weeks. Has it been announced whether the OK State game will be on TV and what time? Thanks

Granted we seem slow on defense tonight, but I will never understand why we didn't at least try to throw against USC like we are tonight against KU. I wouldn't have minded losing that game if we had at least tried. Beating USC would have done far more for the program than last weeks big win over Troy.

I blame this loss on Callahan, not on the Husker players. They played hard and did what they could. I've read several articles and it sounds like the USC players were surprised at the size and strength of Nebraska. It's just too bad the game plan didn't allow our players to do more. I would much rather lose by a big margin and feel like we actually played hard than lose by a small margin with that worthless up-the-middle play over and over again. I am a Callahan fan and think eventually he'll get us going, but I'm very frustrated after Saturday.

I was looking forward to this game, especially after what almost happend with the FSU game, but I hate PPV and think Husker fans are taken advantage of. This game should have been picked up by a cable network as a night game.

Of course I'm focused on the USC game but I was just wondering if it has been announced whether or not the Troy game will be televised. Anyone know? Thanks

I don't care for Jim Rose at all. He has a big vocabulary and loves to show it off during Husker games, but he comes across as arrogant and it gets on my nerves. I think Kevin Kugler would do an excellent job and do I enjoy his show in Omaha. He's great when talking about specific subjects or interviewing, but his impromtu skills need some work. He often tries to be funny, but it doesn't come out right. However, I still think he would be a huge improvement over Rose.

Even though he can't play until next season, and I certainly want Taylor playing this season, I wondered if Keller was on the sidelines on Saturday. What a rush it would have to be to experience Husker Nation for the first time. I would love to know what he thought about this vs. an ASU home game.

When are the team captains usually announced? I wondered if it would be before photo day on Saturday. Thanks

Has anyone heard the time for this game and will it be on TV? On 1620 today they were talking about afternoon games when the temps are still way up there and they mentioned something about this game. I didn't get the whole story, but it sounds like a time has been set, but I'm not positive. Thanks
