  1. Texas has just announced they are addressing their offensive side problems. I hope Nebraska has the courage to face the unpleasant facts and do the same for the long term good of the program.
  2. I have to say, I will be there and so will hundreds (thousands?) of my southern California Big Red friends. Here's a challenge to Husker nation: enjoy San Diego, enjoy New Year's, enjoy the looks of a bright and prosperous future... And let's sell the mother f'er out! 80% Nebraska fans filling the stadium. Chants of Go Big Red so loud it will seem like a game in Lincoln. Let's do it. GBR. +1!
  3. I'll be at the Holiday Bowl. This group of hard nosed, gritty players weathered more adversity and chaos than I can ever remember. They deserve a bowl experience reward and our support. Period. Having said that, is anyone with a pulse surprised Beebe screwed us over one last time? Really?!!? If you want to be mad, direct your anger at the comically inept OC and Gang that can turn a team with the re-incarnations of Jeff Kinney (Rex Burkhead), Rick Burns (Roy Helu), and Eric Crouch (Taylor Martinez) in the same backfield into complete mush. They made it all possible.
  4. Is that what that smell is? We don't smell a thing. Must be your Ego...... Have you checked it recently for runny leaks? (At least you've come down off your high horse and gotten into the spirit of things.)
  5. I could just as easily apply those quotes and those sentiments to fans who go on an emotional bender whenever their team loses a hard fought game. What a devastatingly witty retort! I'm cut to the bone. Thank God we, The Great Unwashed of this Board, have you as a Moral Beacon to guide us Egotrip.
  6. "Those who do not learn from History are doomed to repeat it, the first time as tragedy, the second time as farce." -G. Santayana "The common man learns from his own mistakes. The superior man learns from the mistakes of others. The fool never learns." -Otto von Bismarck Should we swap Herbie Husker for Mr. Magoo? Oh, the guilt, the guilt, the guilt.....
  7. "But if you're not listening to explanation, there's no point in discussing it." Finally, something I can agree with!!!!! This is a Dialogue with the Deaf.
  8. I think we should all recall we had some good games under Callahan. I sure miss him and Cosgrove.....what a loss for the Husker program.
  9. Wash - Mizzou - OK State - Kansas State - 414 yards a game - I don't know what to say. Sure it wasn't Herculean. But not a quality offense? South Dakota State, Texas, Texas A&M, Iowa State, Kansas, and Oklahoma would like to have a word with you. Mizzou is the only halfway decent defense of that bunch. We had a really, really good quarter against them. I remain unimpressed. Save you breath Dude. You're arguing with a founding member of the Flat Earth Society.
  10. We heard the same hollow excuses for "staying the course" with the Callahan-Cosgrove circus. Enough is enough!
  11. We had people defending Callahan and Cosgrove to the bitter end. Remember? We have similar fans (or at least one particular fan) dug in to the death on Watson. Facts smacks, they have excuses for everything. The good news is they are trying to sweep back the sea on this one. Performances like last night have happened just too many times over the past 2 years. Sorry Charlie.....
  12. A booger eating opposing QB once said our defensive coaching was high school level. That's a fair description of our offense under Watson the last 2 years. Stoops was playing chess, Watson was playing tiddly winks. This was just another in a long line of embarassing offensive performances on national TV by Watson. Watson's offense is starting to rival ol' Cosgrove's defenses for glaring, in-your-face ineptitude. Like Cosgrove, Watson simply doesn't know what he's doing. And it shows. Callahan orchestrated a program disaster by focussing only on the offense, letting Cosgrove run the defense into the ground. Coach Pelini, you are the HC, not the DC. Enough is enough. Watson needs to go and take Gilmore with him. Let's trade-in our Game Management Specialists for a couple of real football coaches.
  13. When Beebe was asked about the so-called numerous "death threats", he could only reference one (1) from an unknown source. Beebe then switched to labeling the "threats" as "vulgar" rather than threatening. Wonder why, if he felt he and his family were in real danger, it took him a week to contact any authorities (if he really did even then). Looks more and more like a conscious attempt by Bozo to slander the Husker fan base. This is a tool on a mission, playing the victimization card.
  14. Anyone else think it more than a little fishy Beebe declined to comment on some of BS penalty calls because "it's under investigation", but publicly goes into the gory, minute details of alleged threatening phone calls and emails he's turned over to the authorities for criminal prosecution? Gee, almost as if he's trying to get the Husker Program tried and convicted in the media before the investigation has even started.
  15. BINGO! And everyone who mea culpas is helping Beebe achieve his goal. He couldn't stop our team on the field (not for lack of effort) so he's trashing our reputation on the field (EM suspension) and off the field ("2,000 vulgar emails").
  16. I don't disagree but I'm just not into group guilt trips over a few 3 sigma looney-tunes.
  17. Personally, I think I'll do some self-flagellation to assuage my feelings of personal guilt that there are a few kooks in the Husker fan base. I just can't cope with the reality we all aren't perfect...
  18. Perhaps you should consider a fan base more worthy of you like the Minnesota Gophers Lovely reaction. You dont think Nebraska fans are overreacting? Like i said, i love husker nation but they really think Beebe cares this much that he would hire refs to screw us? Touchy touchy touchy. Oh, the guilt, the guilt, the guilt......

  20. PS Can I just say that I love when people post with blackberries. It looks like they're writing two line poetry, and it just makes me giggle. I am happy busted....... Haha I'm serious. It's just so goofy it makes me laugh. I love it. simple mind, simple entertainment I guess

  22. I'm sure Beebe already has his hands full consoling the Horns on their wreck of a football season. Will he use the same excuse when we take the Big 12 championship in Dallas? He can run but he can't hide..... I think this tells all of us what level of personal courage, honor, and integrity our dear soon-to-be former Big 12 Commissioner has. I knew "Beebe" rhymes with "baby" but I didn't know it also rhymes with "pu****".
  23. Well, as a certain Midwestern aerospace company found out a few years ago, you can use statistics to prove a hidden agenda. It cost them about $30M in court judgements. And, as our unfortunate experience in 1982 at Penn State proves, it really only takes one crooked ref to throw a close game. Right, Mike Guman?
  24. Roger that. And the homers did it to us twice....
