Pipe dream. ND will not join a conference unless forced, and if forced the only conference they would join would be the Big10. They arent going to throw away their rivalries, they are hooked on tradition, that is the exact reason they are in the situation they are in....refusal to change.

 

Arkansas will never go back to a conference that involves TU.

 

Texas has the easiest road to a BCS game or NC that anyone has ever seen. They have more power and influence than any Div 1 program has ever seen within their own conference. If you thought Tejas and NU didnt get along, Tejas and ND are 100x more the opposite than we were.

Exactly, the odds of this happening are slim to none. ND would never leave the rivalries they have with the big ten teams such as michigan and michigan st. Also, i think they realize that they would never be on the same pedestal with beebe that texas is. In other words, never gunna happen.

UT - What can I say? I hate you. I hate your arrogance. I hate your pompousness. I hate Bevo. I hate your stupid "hook em horns." I hate how lucky you have been over the Huskers since the advent of the Big 12. This is an absolute must this year. I want to leave a bad taste in the Horns mouth as we ride off in the sunset.

 

I feel like CU when I say that I feel like beating UT this year will make our season. What is wrong with me?

 

Honestly, I would take a rather take a single regular season loss to UT and end up in the Big12 CCG, than beating UT and ending up 7-5.

 

My hate for UT burns as deep as yours DJR.

 

BTW, great summary of our farewell tour in the Big12. I can only hope that we have the same long term success in the Big10.

What a perfect year to end it with too. Since Bo was hired, 2010 has been the year we have all pointed to... plus we get Texas at home and don't have a return game in Austin, couldn't get much better!!

If we wish to fight this it will depend on how the money is distrubted (as mentioned before). If the university receives the money and is required to pay it back or if the conference withholds the money and distributes the 20% (according the reports i've seen the future liquidated damages penalty is 80%). Unfortunately for us most of what will determine the outcome is documents we will never see and discussions behind closed we may never hear about(if allowed in as evidence because of heresy). However, the public comments I have seen come from Texas and the pac-10 will only help our case (the discussions dating back months and possible collusion between members of the conference).

Hey guys, long time reader and browser and finally signed up. I don't know if this has already been discussed but if Texas starts its own network, the reports i've seen is that they wouldn't have to share that money with the rest of the conference? Last time I checked it took 2 teams to compete. How does the team competing against texas not get a share of the televised game on texas network?? Any thoughts?
