Uh. No. He shouldn't shoot it down. Though I fear that's what will indeed happen.

I get what you're saying, we certainly don't want WWIII...

But I honestly cannot remember any other time in our history when any sitting President would allow this to happen more than once without ramifications.

And this kind of taunting from the Russians, Chinese, and who know who else in the future, is only going to get worse if Trump does nothing.

It happened while Obama was president...

    And under Bush, and Clinton...

This has been going on since the Cold War, and it's not going to stop. All parties play games with each other, and while dangerous, it's nothing new.

Anyone remember Shane Osborn? Nebraska's State Treasurer has a bit of a history with this kind of thing.

does anyone remember when russia shot down a south korean passenger jet claiming it was a spy plane?

that's like saying all the children got home safely...with a few exceptions

I hate to stick up for Trump, but it's not really. Trump does a lot of business in a lot of countries, and if his business with Russians was pre-sanctions, then it could be perfectly legit and isn't evidence of any wrongdoing.

how can there be any exceptions to this statement? "no income of any type from russian sources" trump and his lawyers emphasize no income....and only have the legal disclaimer in there because it is needed IMO.

When this entire "Russia stole my youth!" narrative pushed by the Democrats turns out to be nothing, the Democrats will lose legitimacy for a full generation with anyone not directly bribed into supporting the Democrats.

This level of whining won't be forgotten.

What happens if it turns out to be true?

They will do their best to forget it.

no...i think they will say TRUMP YEAH!!! MRGA

i am among the growing numbers of republicans who see what trump really is....and am very disappointed in my party for marching in lockstep with trump and his gang.

  5. Rep Tom MacArthur gets taken to the cleaners by the hero we don't deserve:

Gotta give kudos to MacAurthur for sticking around. I heard he stayed for like a full five hours including long after the town hall to answer all questions.

But he's still going to lose his job for signing his name onto the awful amendment that got the AHCA passed.

    1,000,000,000 rep to that guy

  6.

    Why now?

Exactly my first thought! He has deflected for so long, he has refused to produce his tax returns, and he has said he has "nothing to do with Russia." Now, he's having his law firm (the same firm won 2016 Russia Law Firm of the Year and provided blank paper in manila folders at press conference rebutting Russian ties) publish this letter. I wonder why, why now?

trump is flaunting his russian connections now that he has fired comey.

  7.

I think we're missing the bigger point here. What would cause fearless leader to even have this reaction? If he has nothing to hide why does he need to even threaten Comey in the first place?

I agree with someone I heard on TV this morning. He said that while nothing has been proven...yet...that he has committed a crime, he sure is acting like someone who is guilty.

this administration is like a mafia movie where all the eyewitnesses are being "silenced"
