  1. I don’t think Gebbia was out of line. He gave an answer that his son really likes the staff and is happy where he is.

I find it very interesting that people bashing the Cali kids were possibly the ones excited to get Keyshawn Jr and others. The connection to Bookie came with them as well. Now, these people have turned and said that Nebraska/midwestern kids are better. There are great Midwest kids...I coach here in the Midwest and know this. We need a mix of kids and the connections to top tier kids are more important than ever with how college football is now. Saying good riddance to a connection in a hot bed state is very silly IMO.

I don't think Frost will take the job.  I also think he knows that this is probably his only chance to take it but I still don't think he takes it.

Man people are going to get super disappointed when Frost doesn't accept the job. Not saying he will do that but I could seriously see him staying at UCF for a 3rd year. As long as he keeps things rolling at UCF he will be in high demand. We better have a Damm good plan B

I feel the same way. I just don't think Frost comes back 'home' to coach. And I am not sure who would come here to coach at this point...the doubt in their minds that if they don't do well right away they will be fired will be strong. The decisions of the past are definitely haunting the program right now!

  3. I have reached the point where a loss like this doesn't even get me that upset anymore. I fully expected to just get steam rolled tonight so maybe that is why it doesn't bother me. What bothers me, is that I have these expectations as a fan! It has been stated on here several times, we are what almost every team in from 71-97 felt like when we played them...more so the 80s and 90s teams. Is it karma from years of dominance and just dirt stomping some teams? I would like to believe that the decisions from Pearlman to Pederson to Callahan to Bo to Eichorst to Riley are the reason we are here. It is a sad how far we have truly fallen as a program!

My fear is that with all of the crappy decisions above (and others I forgot to mention) is that it will be difficult to bring in the type of coach we so desperately need. It may seem silly for some to think this, but if I am an up and coming coach or one that is solid, the fact that we fired Bo after the success (and I do believe it was the right choice based on his antics and lack of recruiting) and then fire Riley after three seasons of complete chaos and incompetence, I have doubt. Did I just contradict myself?? I am sure, but that has to be the thoughts of people around the country. I am one that believes that Frost won't come here and not sure if that is such a bad thing. I just don't know who I want to come here...of course you think of the big time names, but those are pipe dreams. Will definitely be interesting to see how this all shakes out and if Husker nation can come together. The AD has an even bigger job with bringing Husker nation back with each other and getting rid of the divide that continues to widen.

    Sorry for the long post!

The only job I would trust Jason Peter with at Nebraska is chief pill distributor.  Just another blowhard from a by gone era.  That whole thing reeked of 'back in my day we walked up hill both ways!'

Just like the good ol days.  Pot meet kettle.

Would you take a player like JP and the Blackshirts he played with on this team?

  5. What has Trev done at UNO that makes him so deserving of the Nebraska AD job? Getting rid of football and wrestling is the only thing I really know about him as an AD.

Do you think other fans/universities think their coaches or ADs need to have ties to their state/university?

  6. This is unreal! Bo deserved to be fired by the way he was representing the Huskers. SE made a safe move by hiring someone that was the complete opposite personality as Bo. It has turned into a dumpster fire now, unfortunately. I really hope this gets straightened out and fast!

This is a direct contradiction to ...

He is a good player, but I was just trying to point out that with the small class I thought we were going to be a little more picky. I am sure he could be built into a better player in the future...would be great to get a guy that can go quickly with the current depth issues. Also, this year he is the only stud they have...last two years they had D1 prospects at multiple positions and we had to focus more on them then Alston.

The apologist's favorite straw man. We should be happy we lost the way we did. If you aren't happy after the loss you are a bad fan that wouldn't enjoy a championship because.... reasons.

    SMDH

If you think I am happy we lost you are sorely mistaken. The difference is that I am not calling for people to be fired. SMDH!

  9. In the game thread I am sure there is talk about how the coaches will not make adjustments and they will give up 800+ yards. Well, they must have made some adjustments. Some people on here will never be happy and will always complain. The Huskers could win it all and some would find something to bitch about and suggest they should be fired.
