  1. Lou Holtz can blow it out his a**!! As far as BC commenting on what is going to happen, if he were to say that we were going to blow them out and the third stringers would be in during the fourth quarter, some of us would be saying he is too confident and bashing him for that. Take one game at a time and one win at a time, whether or not it is a blowout.

  2. This might be a senseless question that no one has an answer to, but I will shoot away anyways. Being from Minnesota, the worthless Gophers are unable to keep a lot of the top recruits in state. Does NU come up here very often? I know that Swift and Murtha are from MN, but there are some top players up here. Maybe I am just being bias, but just a thought. Any insight/opinions would be greatly appreciated.

  3. This is quite sad....I haven't been to a game yet, but I have friends and family who have been many times and they are all saying the same thing. I remember hearing stories about them NOT sitting the whole game no matter what was going on. And for people to pull on REAL fans' shirt tales is absolutely ridiculous. As stated many times above, STAY HOME AND WATCH THE GAME ON TV! GIVE THE TICKETS TO THE TRUE FANS OF NU!!!!!!!!!

  4. They need to do the replay like the pro's so you are not slowing down the whole game, the coaches get a challenge and then the refs. in the booth make the desicion to review a play in the last two minutes

The thing is in the pros some coaches use it as a momentum killer as well (i.e. Mike Tice). They just need to work the kinks out and see how much it really does slow down the games and if coaches are abusing the system.

  5. Give the kid some consistentcy and let him figure it out against sub-par teams. He needs to get the feel of working through rough times at the D1-A level. He will start to see things after this of film and a game under his belt.

  6. What was the name of this thread?? What were the positives..........

    QUOTE

I thought our cb's weren't very impressive.  Especially Grixby.

Thats because NU has the worst CB coach in the country.

    QUOTE

Taylor showed some good signs, also made a few bad decisions.

Guess it wasnt just Dailey and the other guy that played against Tech that sucked. Wonder why????

    QUOTE

I thought hardy was a burner.  How did he get run down on his long pass play.  That ball was thrown perfectly, he caught it in stride and had a step on his man.  Great play, but should have been a td.

    QUOTE

Impressed with the lack of penalties

    ,

One good sign, but Im sure that will change

    QUOTE

Play calling was horrible.  Why does he call the crap he does.  Run in obvious passing situations and throw in obvious running situations.  1st and goal from the 1.  Run the Damn ball.

    Red zone offense was pathetic

    .

Thats because through all of the BS we've been fed about how great of a coach billy c is and "How bad he wants to win" his biggest motivation is proving that HIS system is great, so that he can show that HE is great, which aint gonna happen.

billy c doesnt coach for his team (that was obvious last year), he coaches for himself.

Good positives about the game dude!

  7. Our O line made everyone else on the field look bad, so I am going to give Ross and Taylor a little slack.

It all starts with the hogs up front. When they are not getting anything done, the whole team looks bad............point proven last night. The O-Line coach better get it figured out. Maybe he can contact Tenopir and get some hints??

  8. As much has it sucks losing a player like Octavien, BC will just have to find someone to fill in. Come on, there is a Ruud on the roster and if Dillard can get it together against WF and Pitt to get ready for the Big 12 than so be it. Let's see what he's got.

  9. The Blackshirts will carry us this year, but the offense needs to gel more and get things figured out. It will click, but when??? That is the real question. It is good to get the spiderwebs out on a somewhat cruddy team so they can move on and learn.....HOPEFULLY!!!
