Yes I understand the let down of Scott Frost and company since he has been here not making a bowl game or having a winning season but I can't deny I haven't been this excited since the first class that Scott Frost brought here.  The class and the group of guys that he is bringing in to turn this program around is great along with coaches. Yes there are question marks with how the o line plays who starts and the coach but I believe Scott Frost back is still against the wall and he decided to push back. I know he can coach it's just putting everything together and cleaning up the little things to succeed which I believe he is doing and the team too!!!

This will be definitely be an interesting fall camp. It is exciting, but I have been burned too many times over the last 15-20 years. Hopefully the new offensive coaches make a difference and get this program turned around. The portal is great to get quick fixes, but the staff still needs to develop the young guys/high school guys to build something consistent.

    Name the actual sources...

There is a new Co-OC and offensive staff. Of course it may not look and feel like OSU's pitch. OSU has had huge success...especially when compared to what the Huskers have done under Frost. The fact of the matter is, OSU sends QBs to the league, but they have yet to really produce/live up to what they did in college.

I feel some of these reporters will constantly take pot shots at Frost just to rally the naysayers up.

I just wonder how it's going to work when they spend all this money on these recruits and they never play a down for the program.  I know boosters are willing to throw around some stupid money but you'd think at some point they're going to want to guarantee at least some return on their investment.

Another question, if said players do not live up to the donors 'expectations' do they pull the money from them? What could possibly go wrong???

Crazy times we are in right now!

Seems pretty fair. Payne outside of the Illinois game was nowhere to be found. Nixon may have been hampered by that injury. Likely was getting passed up again.

The writing must be on the wall for Nixon...to not even go through spring ball and see if you can beat out the incoming guys, it must be pretty obvious he has been passed up? Too bad, I thought he would have been a contributor.

Payne is strange...did something change from December?

  5. Maybe some of the BIG schools that cut their programs can think about bringing them back...I know MN cut the track program, Iowa cut mens swimming (after 100+ years), etc... Just another way to look at it...and when this is all out there and schools continue to say they are in a budget crisis, it is a bad look to cut the non core sports.

If I decided to play with a broken jaw, I’d sure as hell want to keep it secret. Not sure why some here are b!^@hing about Frost keeping injuries under wraps.

Also, there is absolutely no evidence Frost or anyone in the program wanted that news to get out. Frost addressed it post game, after Gus Johnson let it go on air.  Weird how people can listen to these things and still hear things that were never said as long as it fits their preconceived notions.

And no, this isn’t directed at you Decoy.

This is the way the world works now! No matter what is said, it is twisted to fit their own personal narrative.

Maybe Martinez to Warner works out at K-Stare?....

As far as culture issues at Nebraska....of course there were and still are some.....but Warner and Martinez were both team captains.

This is the best....I am not naive to the possible issues in the locker room. However, what else are they going to say in an interview with a KSU reporter? "Oh no, the locker room was way better and more cohesive at Nebraska. The facilities were also better and the fans are more loyal, etc..." If they say that, their teammates will not accept them in.

Also, there are reason people transfer and for the most part, it is not a positive reason they are leaving a current program.

Grades. Maybe he really didn’t want to come here or we said no thanks. Either way.

Very strange decision and seems to be out of no where...maybe I missed something.

Anyone in the actual know here? One would think, given the current situation at OL if he reached out the Huskers would not have turned him down. However, when he made his original decision and told the staff no way maybe they would say it back.

Just an interesting commit to Wyoming....wonder if he will actually stay there or transfer portal out after one year.

  9. Hey everyone!

Just a quick question about purchasing tickets for a game next season. Looking to attend the North Dakota game. Does anyone know when single game tickets might go on sale? I have looked on stub hub and some are posted. I will need three of them...is going the stub hub route better than waiting for single game tickets to go on sale if I want three right by each other? Just trying to plan ahead as the rare opportunity to get down there for a game will work in my coaching schedule next fall.

    Let me know.

    Thanks!

I understand the hires of Joesph, Whipple, Raiola and Busch.   I am trying to understand the hire of Applewhite.  Can somebody help me understand how Frost landed on him?  Does he have something unique he brings to the table?

Maybe was not the first option? I know Knox's name came up as a strong candidate. With the guy he landed and what he did with his room seems to be better than Held. Held could recruit guys, but couldn't seem to get them game ready/develop.

  11. I wonder if Frost and Co. have talked about possibly playing defense. Might come in as an athlete and then see where he falls?

I really wonder why they Gophs have not offered. He is right down the street and one of the top players in the state. I feel if they offered, he would commit right away.

  12. This guy absolutely tore it up here! I am not sure if the Huskers can pluck him away from the Gophs...however, I am not 100% sure if the Gophs has officially offered him yet. Anyone know for sure?

If Frost and company can get him, it would be a steal!

The new Nebraska recruiting strategy, one year players and filling holes.  Selling the UCF success story is now a failed proposition.  Playing time for degree-holders wishing to get noticed in a Power 5 league is now our main selling point.

I would be a bit surprised if this Coach could honestly say that this was the vision four years ago.  To the loyalists, I know, this is working out just as he planned...

I bet you're fun at parties...
