    Hi

Thank you for trying to help me. There are other recipe boards out here, but I enjoyed this one the most and it does ‘t get any better than Nebraska football fans.

    Hi

It was BIG ERN who told me to put recipes all in one thread then I was blocked. I will miss posting recipes. Hugs

    Hi

I deleted their message to me, didn’t want to look at it anymore.

    Hi

Bigern is the one who messaged me and wanted me to put all recipes in one place. Not sure if I spelled their name right. I went to post a new recipe right after that and wasn’t able to post. I was deeply hurt and still am. Hope that makes them happy sigh,

    Hi

They told me it would let members easier to follow. Makes no sense to me. I thought starting a new thread would make it easier for them to see what is new rather than scrolling. I will miss you

    Hi

I don’t know Redux. I wanted to do what would be easier for members to see when a new recipe was posted. It made me happy to help members try a new recipe especially when it came to game day. I am very sad that they did that. Not only did it hurt me but it hurts other members who want to try a new recipe. I am very sad but it is what it is. I will miss trying to brighten up someone’s day in here. Hugs

    Hi

Well I have been blocked to start new topic in recipes. They want me to put them all in one thread and I won’t do that, I have my reasons. I won’t list all of them but one of them is I started a new thread so it would be easier for members to see when a new recipe has been posted. They have their reasons and I have mine. I won’t be posting recipes on this board anymore. It was fun while it lasted and I wish you all the best in life.

    Hi

Thank you both for making me smile. Have a good day
  9. Both of those recipes sound great, thank you both so much for posting these.
  10. I know I posted this before but will post it again in case you missed it. You said you are going to be making fish so thought this might appeal to you too. Someone gave us some fish that he had caught and we had it last night with hushpuppies and tater tots. It was the best fish I have ever made. Nothing beats fresh fish. I used Zatarain’s New Orlean’s Style Fish Fri Seafood Breading Mix Crispy Southern for the fish coating and used Louisiana Homestyle Hush Puppy Seasoned Cornmeal Mix for the hushpuppies; had some tater tots too. The hushpuppies turned out great, I put some chopped green onions in the batter. I prepared them ahead of time. When I made them, I formed them into balls and put them in a Tupperware container and refrigerated them until time to make them. That helps the hushpuppies to firm up before making them. I deep-fried the fish and the hushpuppies. Used some homemade Hidden Valley Ranch Dressing for a dip. Edited to say that the fish was soaked in milk for awhile, flipped it over so the other side got soaked in milk, then I cut the fish in pieces so they would fit in the deep-fryer basket; put the fish in a Tupperware container and added the fish seasoning: shook the container to cost the fish and put the lid on and refrigerated it until ready to fry.
  11. I sure hope you like it as much as our family did, let me know if you liked it.
  12. My mom used to fry fish this way and it was really good. https://wawangresort.wordpress.com/2017/04/05/best-fried-walleye-4/
  13. Well my arm is better thx to pills, have to wear a sling until it gets operated on. I just take it slow when cleaning the house and cooking etc. I saw this and it made me smile and thought it might brighten up someone’s day in here. Laughter is really the best medicine. At one point during a game, the coach called one of his 9-year-old baseball players aside And asked, "Do you understand what cooperation is? What a team is?" "Yes, coach", replied the little boy. " Do you understand that what matters is whether we win or lose together as a team?" The little boy nodded in the affirmative. "So," the coach continued, "I'm sure you know, when an out is called, you shouldn't argue, curse the umpire, or call him an asshole. Do you understand all that?" Again, the little boy nodded in the affirmative. The coach continued, "And when I take you out of the game so that another boy gets a chance to play, it's not a dumb-ass decision or that the coach is a s#!thead is it?" "No, coach." "Good", said the coach. "Now go over there and explain all that to your grandmother.”

    Hi

Will post recipes when better. I dislocated my shoulder and have to be real careful with it. It got put back in place but it has to be operated on. Take care all
  15. I don’t have an electric knife and if I did have one, I still wouldn’t use it for that. I am happy for you if that works for you.
  16. Nuance because some people have a hard time eating corn right off the cob and I want to make it easy for them to eat it. Thank you for showing me that cooking tool from Walmart. I do have an idea on how to make it easier using the bundt pan. When I try it, I will let you know if it works. I am pretty sure it will, but want to try it first.
  17. Some of you may have used this trick before, but I haven’t. I’m looking forward to trying it.
  18. At the grocery store the other day, we need avocados. Well they weren’t tender and a lady was there and said that her grandma used to wrap each avocado in aluminum foil and put them in the oven overnight, so I tried that and it works. Aren’t grandmas wonderful smiling,
  19. Got to have Atomic Buffalo Turds for game day. You can use this rub for ABT’S, Pulled Pork and Pork Ribs. 6 Tablespoons Brown Sugar 1/4 Cup Smoked Paprika 2 Tablespoons Salt 2 Tablespoons Chili Powder 1 Tablespoon Freshly Ground Pepper 1 Tabledpoon Allspice, Toasted & Ground 1 Tablespoon Garlic Powder 1 Tablespoon Toasted Onion Powder 1/2 Tablespoon Cumin Seed, Toasted & Ground 1/2 Tablespoon Cinnamon Put all ingredients in mixing bowl; mix. Put it in a shaker for convenience.
  20. When it is hot out, I want cold salad. Sometimes I add sliced black olives and sliced fresh mushrooms and cheese. Green Peppers are good too. Add some of your favorite deli meats if you want. Spagetti Salad: 1-lb. Spagetti ***I Like To Use Fettuccini Sometimes Or Linguine 2 Tablespoons McCormicks Salad Seasoning 1-(12-oz.)-Bottle Kraft Zesty Italian Salad Dressing 1 Chopped Cucumber 1 Chopped Onion 1 Green Pepper, Diced 1 Celery Stalk, Sliced 2-3 Tomatoes, Chopped Break the spaghetti in half before cooking. This will make the spaghetti salad easier to mix up and easier to serve. Cook spaghetti, rinse and place in a large mixing bowl. Sprinkle with salad seasonings. Pour dressing over the top. Add remaining ingredients and mix well. Cover and refrigerate.
  21. You can use this on everything, chicken, ribs, butts, etc 1/2 Cup Paprika 1/2 Cup Kosher Salt 1/2 Cup Light Brown Sugar 1/2 Cup Granulated Garlic 6 Tablespoons Granulated Onion 1/4 Cup Chili Powder 1 T. Fresh Ground Black Pepper 1 Tsp. Cumin 1/2 Tsp. Cayenne Pepper Mix all ingredients together and store in glass or plastic container. Rub generously! Sauce: 1/4 Cup Olive Oil 1 Large Onion, Minced 1 Green Pepper, Minced 1 Or More Jalapeño Pepper-(S) ***Use More Jalapenos For More Heat Pinch Kosher Salt Pinch Of Black Pepper 5 Tablespoons Fresh Garlic, Minced Heat Olive Oil in a large pan and add the minced onions and minced green pepper. along with the salt and pepper. Sauté until the onion gets translucent and soft. Once that is done, add the minced garlic, Cook with the garlic in for 1 minute, then add the following while keeping the heat going. ***Easiest To Use Crockpot! 2-(15-oz.)-Cans Tomato Sauce 2 Cups Ketchup 3/4 Cup Worcestershire Sauce 1/2 Cup Cider Vinegar 1/4 Cup Lemon Juice 1-1/2 Cups Molasses 1/4 Cup Cayenne Pepper Sauce 1/4 Cup Spicy Brown Mustard 1/1/2 Cups Dark Brown Sugar 1 Tablespoon Chili Powder 2 Teaspoons Coarsely Ground Black Pepper 1/2 Teaspoon Allspice 1/2 Teaspoon Liquid Smoke After it is all stirred together, keep the temperature on really low heat so the sauce doesn’t burn! Slowly bring it up to take it just under a simmer. If you try to get it hot, too fast, you will burn the sauce ! Let it sit on a low burner for about 4 hours, stirring every 15-20 minutes or so to really bring the ingredients together and allow the sauce to thicken up. At the end, Add the liquid smoke and stir in slowly. ****You can use jalapeno peppers from a jar/Frank’s Red Hot Or Tabasco Sauce Can Be Used For Cayenne Pepper Sauce
  22. I edited it. Bake at 325 degrees until Cheese is melted.
  23. This cheese bread is really good. I had left over lasagna for lunch today with the cheese bread. I had some shredded Romano Cheese left over so I put some on top of the shredded mozzarella cheese and it was even better. Buy a loaf of garlic bread that is already buttered with garlic to make it easy to make. Slice bread into serving slices. Sprinkle Shredded Mozzarella Cheese on top of slices. Like I said, I sprinkled some Shredded Romano Cheese over the Shredded Mozzarella Cheese. Shake some fairy dust over top of Romano Cheese. That is what we called it when I worked at Pizza Hut. Put in baking dish and bake at 325 degrees until Cheese is melted. Fairy Dust: Depending on how big the shaker is that you are using, you may have to adjust measurements. I use an empty large Parmesan Cheese Shaker so I know for sure it will fit without making a mess. 1/4 Cup Parmesan Cheese-(From A Shaker) 2 Tablespoons Garlic Powder 1 Tablespoon Oregano 1 Tablespoon Onion Salt ***Sometimes I Use Less, Start With Less Then Add More If You Want Put all of the ingredients in a mixing bowl, stir. Put fairy dust in a shaker container and keep it by the stove for convenience. .***I also use this sometimes to sprinkle over pasta, use your imagination. It is good stuff.
