Speaking of fun. Anyone watch IA State/K State in 3 inches of snow? Almost 1000 yards of offense, 70 yard TDs left and right. Great game.
The game was excellent, the Iron Bowl might have been the craziest finish I've seen. What an awesome day of college football.
I’m watching UCLA vs Cal. It’s 57 degrees and a lot of players have long sleeves and head gear.
Imagine USC or UCLA playing in B1G country in November.

It did seem like we were much better down the stretch. But for the year, we're about where we have been. #26 in penalty yards per game, #33 in yards per game. Last year we were #26 and #39.
We really shot ourselves in the foot early in the year, especially in the red zone. But it did seem like the last few games we barely got any called on us.
Seemed liked the 3-5 false starts a game have gone away

If I was seeking out life advice the only way I’d ask Maurice Clarett for an opinion is if Manziel wasn’t available.

You need a QB with Power 5 experience and proven ability and, as a bonus, was originally recruited by Nebraska? Look no further…Hunter Dekkers is your man! 3044 passing yards with 19 touchdowns and only 14 interceptions. Big body used to playing behind and inferior line. Has beaten Iowa and is well rested having taken 2023 off to concentrate on his professional gambling career. Best part of the deal is there will probably be no competition to get him! If you aren’t going to pull the trigger on Spencer Petras, then Hunter Dekkers is your man…trust me.
Sarcasm is high here, but when you’re as bad at QB as we are………

$2 again on Stub Hub folks. Can’t beat that.

Nebraska QBs are the only ones that throw INTs in the last minute trying to drive for the winning score.
Might not be the only ones, but they’ve certainly set the bar.

Since everybody's reminiscing.....I think we would've won at least 7 games with Casey Thompson at QB. That's a major screw up.

For the 2023 regular season, both Nebraska and Iowa scored exactly 216 points.
Iowa fired their Offensive Coordinator for lack of points scored. Will Nebraska do the same?
Ferentz has been the OC since 2017. Little different situation.

Improve that and the season looks very different.
I think it will improve, but it’s concerning that it didn’t at all during the season.

I learned that many posters are absolutely useless at recognizing the actual problem areas and miss the mark pretty far at assigning blame appropriately. Wow at some of the brutally bad takes. Or…..there are a lot of drinking problems with terrible emotion control.
I know. If we could just get rid of Adidas this would all go away.

You don't have to dig much deeper than the abyssal turnover margin to see the main culprit to this year's season. Get that even close to just bad, not horrendous, and we'd have exceeded everyone's expectations no matter how ugly it would have been.
Averaged 3 turnovers a game for the season….woof

Purdy is better than the other two wildcat QB's we trotted out this year. But, if his playing time this year is any indication, he's a turnover machine.
Why was he the scout team QB? I get the Sims experiment. He looks the part until he’s playing. I was never big on HH. He just wasn’t as bad as Sims.
But did the coaches feel Chubba was behind these two?
We need 1 QB. Maybe two. Get a stud. Bring in a second guy like KU did (Bean).
-
Why don’t we run the pick plays (illegal) that gashed us for years? No screens? No shallow crossing routes?
Just seems like low percentage passing game.

The Illinois game had a lot of pressure on it. If we lose that game, we go into the bye 2-4 with an 0-4 record against P5 opponents. Would have been hard to have any positive outlook on the rest of the season if we lose that one on the road.
Instead, we gutted out a win that never really felt that close thanks to our defense. It gave us a nice spark that lasted through October. Might have been my favorite win of the last couple years.
The illinois game was trash and built some optimism that helped with the let down. Nebraska played awful. Illinois somehow played worse. Purdue was very similar.
Im not worried yet. I’d really like to see how Rhule responds. His history is solid.

-The number of kids that played on Defense
-The young talent on Defense
-the fact they are probably going to blow up the south endzone. This will help preserve sellout streak.

People hated Prime and what he did day one at CU. Not saying Rhule needs to go nuclear, but they have been part of, accepted and have been an integral part of of the worst run of Husker football in history....That's an issue.
The Buffs season is over tomorrow too

The last three plays of this game summed up the current state of the program. Driving to win - interception. Need a stop to make the opponent FG tougher - gashed up the middle. Then, lose to a kicker who hadn’t kicked all year. Because he has a winning mindset.
These kids had no will to win the West. The undefeated October was their trophy. They thought they had a bowl locked. Then their true colors showed.
No slander when I say this. They’re losers.
This is exactly the way I feel about the program.
-
It’s culture. This is a loser program. There’s just so many little things that we do wrong that result in loses. The football IQ of the team in general is just so bad.
Alvano is just another example. He came here as a winner. I think he had an awful season. It’s better than it was, but it’s still broken.
Disappointing way to end the season, but it seems fitting. This is a rebuild. I hate Iowa.- 3

You’ll never win a low scoring game giving up such bad field position. You have to win the field position game today. They’re not doing that.
Just now, PaulCrewe said:I’m shocked Sanford is even playing. That shot against Allen last week I thought would be a year ending concussion protocal
Sanford brings it. He plays a lot bigger than his size.

That game was rough. Rebounding was terrible and there really was no offense. Gave up a lot of drives to the bucket.
The only bright spot was free throws. That was outstanding and the difference in the game.
The refs were terrible. Both teams got bad calls, but I think the Duquesne coach had every right to frustrated in the second half.
A win is a win. On to the next one. Fullerton is $2 on stub hub. I’m going again Sunday.
