- Prominent on Nebraska's radar: Leipold, Klieman, Monken, Doeren, Campbell
- Mickey is a "long shot"

Article on Jeff Traylor. I had not paid attention to that name before much…..

Bill O’Brien looks more and more of an option. He’s coached at the highest levels and knows what B10 football is about having coached in it. Keep Mickey of the staff as Associate Head Coach.

The offensive and defensive lines are getting pushed around. Going to be a long day folks.

Chubb’s had a couple of Purdy runs on that series!

As a former North Stadium season ticket holder, a Husker Vision screen is a MUST for the South Stadium!

Pelini started the distractions with the blackshirts and made it “a carrot” for them to reach for. If they played bad, he took them away and at times we had 17-18 players getting black shirts depending upon the coaching staff. It’s completely been overblown and is a distraction.
Completely agree with HCMJ!

That didn’t take long. A face saving move on his part to preserve his “legacy” and not join his buddy in getting his butt fired.

Baby steps. Mickey has the ear of the players in the locker room. They responded like Mickey would expect them to in a close game.
Busch simplified things to where the players could just focus on lining up and beating their man.Ty Robinson showed his potential.
Like Reimer played his a$$ off.
NEXT MAN UP. The players know that if you don’t pull your weight, there IS going to be a substitution.
Palmer is a stud.

You’re not paying attention if you don’t see this team playing far better than they have all season. Defense is actually playing with some concentrated passion and discipline against a quick and decent offense. A depleted and sad offensive line is holding up well enough for skill players to make plays, and special teams is vastly improved over last year. I wanted to see our lower string offensive linemen all year and glad we are finally getting to see that and some new blood in there. I’m on HCMJ train until it runs off the tracks.
THIS! Mickey has their attention!

More disappointing revaluations coming out. Felt betrayed by Frost and other decisions need to be made about people who are "toxic down there".
Mind boggling and can't comprehend they haven't been tackling in practice. As always, ST is measured, well spoken and a true Husker.
31 minutes ago, Hilltop said:I agree. Trev has done a great job so far. He did what he could to support the team. That didn't work with Frost but it wasn't on him. Now he gets the opportunity to hire his coach. How that coach performs will decide his future at Nebraska. If that coach is successful and stays here long term, Trev likely gets the chance to retire here. If that coach turns out to be a bad hire, Trev will probably be gone in a few years.
The sticky part of that process is finding a coach that the boosters all come together on. In this day and age of NIL and extreme coach salaries, he needs close to unanimous support from the money guys imo. Hope he has some used car salesman experience and a great eye for the coaching talent needed to fix the program.
GBR
Agreed. Moos left a sh!t show for him to come into. No accountability at the AD level. It was being ran like a country club basically from My sources. Many layers of incompetence for Trev to peel away.

When Chinander is the 2nd highest paid employee in the state, there needs to be some accountability. If Mickey is going to hold players to the high level of accountability, the same goes for coaches. Message sent to any starters not doing their job!

Translation: I've only had 5 days on the job and it would be impossible to undo all the crap coaching, discipline and accountability these losers have ingrained.

Mickey is a stand up guy. Wouldn’t expect anything else but to help shoulder the blame. Unfortunately, Rome
wasn’t built in a day and a football team can’t be built in a week!

If Pelini was as good Of a coach as his backers say he was, why didn’t he end up as a head coach other than Youngstown State?
