I think there was a chance Bo might have gone to tOSU if we were still in the Little 12. Now I find it highly unlikely. Bo doesn't strike me as the kind of guy who'd sell us out like that. He had a shot at the Miami job, remember, before the scandal broke. Didn't even turn his head. Not that Miami is a Top 5 job, necessarily (especially now), but if he was into nice weather and beaches and more $$, he would have taken a look, surely.

YES to this. Would love to see Wiscy again. They're going to put the beatdown on Penn St 2 weeks after we do. It's very possible Penn St will lose to tOSU, too. Which would make things verrrrry interesting in whatever that other division's called. Anyway, I think there's a decent chance we'll see em again.

I was one of those who thought Turner should have gotten the gig over Bo, at the time, a few years ago ... good thing TO has got the smarts I lack. Obviously dodged a bullet there. I feel bad about it, because Turner is one of the Husker greats, but ... Kansas is clearly, clearly the worst team in major CFB these days. CU may be second-worst, though. God, USC might hang 70 points on them this Sat.

(1) The only *big* home game we've had in Conference has been Sparty. We travelled to Camp Randall, and will soon travel to Happy Valley and The Big House (back to back weeks). I know you said games so far, but it looks to me as though our boys are doing their fair share of travelling to some VERY tough venues this season. Wiscy opened with 6 home games (including a game against us), so it would make sense for them to have to go on the road for a couple games. (2) Forgive me, I just don't follow... What's this mean? surely means division names i agree

Awww, ain't that sweet. Wish I could say the love was reciprocated, but folks in the Panhandle don't have much use for you city slickers back east. :) Now if we could just get that silly Constitution thingy out of the way, our brethern trapped in Nebraska could join up with us in the promised land here in Wyoming, long as state laws were redone to state that anyone born in that part of New Wyoming had to, by law, be a Husk fan.

Old enough to take pride in being from outstate, and therefore not from the Midwest. I ain't no flatlander. Old enough to remember when the panhandle wanted to become part of Wyoming? Remember the big sign (for the life of me though I can't remember where it was) that said "Scottsbluff, Wyoming". I remember that sign! Yeah, the secessionist movement last came up in the 80s. If I still lived in the Panhandle, I'd start it up again. But I just did the smart thing, moved into the state itself.
