  1. You know this could turn out like SMU or like USC we dont know but didnt SMU get the death penlity for paying its player or something like that? That would be harsh as hell if they got that but it wouldnt suprise me at all with the way the NCAA operates

It won't be the death penalty. That's for repeat violators. OSU hasn't been found guilty yet . . . let alone found guilty and then guilty again. The sanctions will be severe, but not death penalty severe. It's not because the NCAA is being lenient with OSU . . . it's because the death penalty doesn't apply here.

Why did it apply to SMU i dont know the whole story i know espn did a 30 for 30 on it but i am for sure could u help clear it up for me?

SMU got caught paying players. The NCAA sanctioned them and enacted a rule that said that if they got caught paying players again they would receive the death penalty. SMU was promptly caught paying players again. The NCAA had no choice but to drop the hammer.

Thanks for the info carlfense i was not for sure. It was a real big deal back then could you imagine what that would be like for todays college football or any other sport for that matter

  3. I still think we could land him. Remeber he still has till aug 15 at midnight to sign his contract to the Royals. I know his whole family wants him to go to college but they say its his choice. Both his sisters want him to go to college and his younger sister said they have never had a team and they love NEB they wear husker gear everywhere they go so i still think we have a chance but our chance did drop a little with KC picking him

  4. *$100,000 for tying for the Legends Division title, without an appearance in the conference championship game (up $50,000).

*$200,000 for reaching the Big Ten championship game (up $50,000)

*$350,000 for winning the league championship game (up $100,000).

In addition, Pelini would receive $150,000 if Nebraska reaches any bowl game (up $50,000) or $250,000 if it's a BCS bowl, which is a bonus not part of his previous deal.

He would receive $350,000 if NU reaches the BCS championship game (up $200,000) or $650,000 if the Huskers win the BCS crown (up $400,000).

I hope we end up paying Bo every single one of those bonuses. :)

Me too I'd like to see Bo stay here until he retires

I will personally pay Bo in Trident Layers to assure he will be at Nebraska until he retires.

I'd lay in front of his driveway so he can't leave

If he does leave he is going to have one heack of a time with all the fans laying in his drive way plus we would take his car keys and bags and make sure he stays lol

  5. any one notice that most of the O was run in the pistol? i think that will be our base O

It was about half our offense, and I doubt that anything we saw in this game will be indicative of what we see this Fall. It was very basic. Taylor in particular had NOBODY to throw to. The passing lanes were terribly crowded, and he had no open receivers - or should I say, no receivers working hard to get open. Neither did Green, for that matter.

I agree i was there at the game and every thing seemed sloppy to me. i know the guys were having fun but still it was sloppy play on the o line and all

  6. I agree. Not only was that a problem but our former OC also not sticking to what worked ie in the frist half of the ccg aginst OK, or not changing the game plan if it didnt work. I am looking forward to see the spring game to see what kind of offence we will run. it will be a great year every one.

  7. I think former broncos head coach Josh McDaniels would be a good oc for us. I know I'm dreaming but watson has to go I know there are a bunch of oc that are better then watson and would do a ton better with play calling. Josh would be great here

  8. well we now know that we need to raid our "O" staff and get some new blood so good bye cotton, glimore, watson. We need the firey bo and not have perlman throw him under the bus. I hope bo does some thinking this off season. Our D is fine so why isnt he trying to do something differnt with watson like make him be on the sideline during the game or take away the play calling and give it to some one else? Any ways i was wondering if you tell me how to get the password to the woodshed i am new to the board and was just wondering about the thread is all my e mail is danieltalarico@yahoo.com
