We have a new coach and haven't made a bowl game since 2016 and Husker fans are gonna melt over not getting the #1 QB...I get he is a legacy but we have other things to worry about.
And yes, I would obviously want him to commit here I just don't hang onto commits anymore with how the past staff was. Can't bandaid a bad program.

In the world of the portal we aight. Sims is a good QB who will get us dubs for the next two years.
I'm more worried about running the ball and playing defense. That has to come before the extras

If healthy the OL doesn't have any excuses this year imo besides a new playbook. We have a good enough QB and decent backs, WRs to get the job done. I have actually been more impressed with the drills in practice that Raiola runs than the DL.
I also wouldn't doubt that if we miss on Dylan we could be in a good spot for the younger son Dayton if he keeps improving.

Nebraska +8 vs Minnesota in the opener. Which way would you bet?

Nebraska is currently 14 over and the portal opens this Saturday....gonna be a fun weekend. IMO we still need to add an OL, DL and ILB from the portal.
-
Rhule again spoke about how good he thinks the OL is....makes me feel a little better. Also mentioned that Benhart is a "pro player"

Few tidbits:
Noticed that Kaine Williams was moved to Linebacker.
Some didn't know but MJ Sherman and Ben Scott are both juniors (not SRs).
Even though Arik Gilbert is on his third school he is only a sophomore.
We are pretty young from kids starting standpoint. Currently 4 offensive SRs and 3 defensive SRs that are projected to start.

Just doesn't seem like a kid that ends up at Oregon or Georgia. Just my opinion. I see why he chose Ohio St initially.

I think Rahmir Johnson leaves bc their isn't a clear role for him but I can't speculate on who else leaving. I wonder if Jimari Butler leaves after the spring bc of putting his name into the portal before and then withdrawing? I hope Janiran Bonner stays bc he is going to be a stud eventually.
Rahmir is an east coast kid and has speed (two things this staff recruited). He stay may leave but I think he can bring value to this team.

Game reminds me a lot of Wandale...can be utilized in a lot of ways.

And Teddy may still be rehabbing.
Those are my worries, especially with Teddy. Rhule has been known to move guys around even positions so will be interesting to see.

Wonder who the staff moves inside - especially if any injuries occur. Turner and Anthony might have to see time inside now. Be nice if Teddy and Hood can be ready to go with Turner at RG.
-
Wager convinced two basketball players to play football their SR years and both might end up in Lincoln.

Prochazka 6'9 320
Hood 6'8 350

Speights and Johnson are originally from PA...wonder if we get one of them to visit as well.

100% agree. We need someone that can step in and be a day 1 starter.
According to Callahan, the GA tight end has played 116 snaps over 4 years.
IF Fidone can stay healthy I won't worry about the tight ends. Otherwise we are def weak there going into this season

Not true. Didn’t have any catches. Consider who he was also behind.
played in 10/13 games this year as a reserve TE according to Georgia site
fair enough but 0 catches on the year...I know Bowers is the best TE in the country but I like to see production if we are already 9 guys over

I assume we see a few tight ends hit the portal....also the Georgia kid didn't see any action this year.

Can I ask why you don't like their service?
Do people realize all they do is watch plays and give from -2 to +2 each play (based on their opinion)? It isn't that deep...

People live and die with PFF way too much...average a$$ service.

Lutovsky, Piper and Benhart who have good experience off the bench. I wouldn't complain.

Top TE in Texas. Although I'm not sure if his team just doesn't throw the ball but his stats are rather....Unimpressive
That's what I am seeing. 14 total reception in two years at varsity? Many on this board did more than that. That isn't to say this kid won't be good, but reminds me of Neville who had like 275 yards as a SR and was a "top" WR...he has now transferred twice.

Iowa missed out on Rouse and settled for Daijon Parker. This is a two way race that I feel good about with OU.
