  1. Hey Huskerboard! I haven't visited for a while, and since it's only a day before football starts, I thought I'd say "hi" to everybody again! My Mom (and best football buddy) is staying with us for about 6 weeks. She had rotator surgery (again) and came out to recuperate here! Since she will be in a sling for about 6 weeks, I thought I'd surprise her with this! Can't wait to see what she says! Go Big Red!
  2. All is well, T_O_B......just busy with work and my volunteer work with the ACS. Had a great day, and was in Omaha last week visiting my Mom. There's no place like home. Catching a lot of "bull" here in Ohio now.....
  3. Thanks for the good wishes. I was actually in Omaha last week. I love my volunteer work with the ACS.....gonna keep fighting to find the cure!
  4. I'm with you Walks. Like I say when I go to Lincoln for a game, "I'm with 80,000 of my closest friends." If I had to single out a few from the thousands I'd say, KC, ISRP, SoCal Husker, Huskerjock, Beach Buffs (The food at the tailgate would be great. Omaha Steaks and fresh sea food from the Gulf.) Cy, Bri (Better bring the twins and Mama BRI), AR, Knap and ofcourse you sir Walks. OMG How could I be so dumb as to leave out Roxie and Ohio Husker? Ladies put away your money the party is on me. T_O_B T_O_B.....how nice of you! I would love to party with you all! It's been a few years since I've attended a Huskerboard tailgate. Been to a few, and met a lot of nice people! I'm hoping to be home for the NU/Ohio St game this year! Can I count on those Omaha steaks?
  5. Are you from Ohio BuckFan? If so....what part?
  6. That would be him! Thanks for posting the picture!
  7. was kind of excited to meet a Husker football player from the 1941-42 team!

  8. I work for an optometrist in eastern Ohio, and was recording a patient's information into the computer one day last week. I noticed his social security number began with the numbers '508' and asked if he was born in Nebraska. He said he was born and raised in Tekamah. I shook his hand right away and told him that I was born and raised in Omaha. I have the stadium as my screensaver on my computer and quickly showed him and said, "Go Big Red". He then proceeded to tell me that he had played on the team in 1941-1942! Being 87 years old he was a little forgetful about details back in those days, but he sure smiled when he talked about it! He was #26 and played for 2 years before transferring to Stanford. He then moved out here after the war. It was so interesting to talk to him, and when I asked if he is still a Husker or a Buckeye.....he smiled and said, "maybe a little of both"!
  9. Happy Birthday to one of my Huskerboard favorites!
  10. killer.....here's the deal! With the talent you have, and if I were in your family, I would love to receive something from you that you made! I keep telling my son the same thing! That would mean more to me than something he bought. The talent that you guys have is a gift and much more meaningful (to me anyway) and very much appreciated! Christmas is about giving and if it comes from the heart.....that's what matters! Merry Christmas!
  11. My Mom, my "good son" and I met several guys from Huskerboard at a few tailgates......
  12. Happy Birthday Chad.....to one of my favorite Huskerboard guys!
  13. I think the officials need to be "under review"! Geez!!!
  14. Thank you Niles for hanging onto the ball! Let's score now!
  15. My good son and I are going crazy here! Come on Huskers!!!!
  16. Torino's is an awesome place.....it's a Husker establishment. We watched the bowl game there last year. They have a special Husker menu and it's all decorated in Nebraska stuff. They even called a cab for us after the game.Highly recommend it!
  17. My 79 year old "blue hair" Mom and I were also in the North end zone and it was rockin'! I,too, am hoarse yet this afternoon, but what a game! We BOTH stood about 3/4 of the game! So glad I made it home for this game! Go Big Red!!
