  1. No sweat! Just proves you are a bunch of sniveling wineing spoiled fu#*$ that the rest of the succesful programs have accused you of being..... and why theres no RECENT national championship banner in husker stadium... eat a dick.
  2. Will do.... Not interested in who WAS champion, who will BE champion.... back to your lava lamp and beta-max.
  3. Apologies to all that read the first thread where I had Michigan in place of Missouri.. GOOD CATCH! At least I had the "M" right! LMAO!!
  4. The answer is you're obviously a pencil necked geek living in Mom's basement with nothing better to do than try to get even with all of those that use to take you lunch money..... like me.
  5. Haha, maybe you should "... look it up." You are correct!!! my appologies!
  6. YOU ARE CORRECT!!! IT WAS MISSOURI NOT MICHIGAN! i HAVE NO PROBLEM ADMITTING MY MISTAKE! However my point remains the same. Kudos to all that caught that.
  7. This is absurd. Do you ever talk about the tradition of Nebraska? The National Championships? The All-Americans? The Heisman winners? Being a fan is all about rehashing what has happened, over and over again. You and I are not playing on Friday, we don't have to "focus" on the upcoming opponent. Give me a break. Yes matter of factly I do. Look my other posts. NOT focusing on an upcomming opponent is called not being prepared. And if i wasn't a fan, if you weren't a fan we wouldn't be here.
  8. No, I'm talking about Cu beating Michigan @ Michigan years ago... look it up.
  9. I'm sorry I thought that we were playing CU this weekend and all that has happened in recent history, is well history. And last time I checked that can't be changed. If you're someone who's still hoping that somehow the NCAA is going to take a look at the absolutely terrible, rediculous, biased, officiating that took place in the A & M game and somehow declare Nebraska the winner, well good luck with that. Personally I can't remember the last time a game was "over-turned" (see the 5 obvious and nationally televised downs that CU got to defeat Missouri. (edited after pointed out i had the wrong team). Thanks. NEBRASKA plays CU on Friday, and that's what we should all be focused on and concerned about. Supporting the HUSKERS. That and the Big-12 championship, and then the bowl game. If you want to stay in the past, put in an 8 track of your favorite 70's band, sit back in your bean-bag chair, dim the lights and stare at your lava lamp while you "wait" for someone to come and make things all warm and fuzzy for you. The rest of us are moving on and looking forward to supporting the HUSKERS in the here and now.
  10. Gee, I thought I had said that basically Nebraska A.D. T.O. had basically minimalized the situation and was moving on and that was a good thing. And that only people who continue to bring up Pelini's actions, the situation itself (SEE BIG WILLIE THREAD AND SUPPORT) could be non-existant by now except for those of you who keep bringing it up. So once again, on to (i hope) CU and the Big-12 championship!
  11. You seriously think it is a good idea for TO to say something like .. "Bo has indicated that events such as those will not happen again. I take him at his word, and agree that it is very important that going forward we do not see a recurrence.” Our entire AD has muffed this situation. Instead of focusing in on what happened with the complete bias in the foul disparity, our AD and Chancellor took it upon themselves to publicly call out our own coach. WHY? In no fricken' way should this week be about us, it should be solely about the B12 and that officiating crew. Our AD needed to respond publicly to what happened there, sticking up for our coaching staff, sticking up for our players, sticking up for our University, and sticking up for our fans. Instead, they choose to ignore that and focus only on our coach. What is worse - the public perception of this makes us look horrid. Not only from a national perspective because we had the need to publicly call out our coach bringing TONS more attention to the situation, but what do you think the perception from other coaches is now? Do you think other coaches are going to be chomping at the bit to come to a university where they now know that the AD and administration will not have their backs? All that needed to be said - "it's an internal matter and will be handled as such." Done. But instead, we publicly call out our coach, force him to use his PC to apologize to a group of officials who royally screwed him, and allowed the national media to pick up on this. If you want to applaud them for absolutely doing the wrong thing, then yes, you should applaud them. But at least they complained privately to the B12 about the officials. Great way to handle that one! Oh, wait. Yes. Compared to how bad this could have been, this was minimal and a great response by T.O. He threw those that are upset with Pelini's behavior a bone and basically said it's handled and done. Damage control, check. Now on to more important issues like CU and the Big-12 championship.
  12. Makes you wonder if he should have played that second half. Let's just hope the trainers can summon the powers of a medicine man and get him on the field for the Big 12 championship. That is if they can get past CU without him. Lot's of people agree that the coaching staff kept Martinez in way too long. While it's no question that he is the best Nebraska quarteback when HEALTHY, I think all would agree that NEBRASKA as a TEAM, is much better across the board then the Buff's. The only way they loose this one, no matter who the quarteback is if they simply "mail this one in". Nebraska by 21.
  13. At last! Someone else besides me on this forum has seen and recognized the freak show that is Mike Stoops on the AZ. sidelines and realizes that Bo's behavior while subject to criticism, pales in comparison to Super-Freak-Stoops!
  14. Bo's actions don't even compare to the 60 min. circus antics of Az. Wildcat coach Mike Stoops. The vacuum created when his head explodes may in fact, be the greatest threat to the planet earth.
  15. I agree. If it's at all a half-a$$ serious soft tissue injury those take time to heal.
  16. At any other major program the administration and the coaching staff would be canabalizing eachother by now, throwing around blame and excuses like frisbees. All while the media would sit perched like vulchers with cameras and tape recorders, documenting it all with hopes of chumming the water in hopes that the program and those involved devour eachother. Nebraska simply responded quick with confidence, poise, and precision. The A.D. (T.O.) showed support for the coach and pointed out only positives the coaching staff and the program have had. Neutralizing what could have been "easy pickins'" for the media vultures. T.O. knows all to well that no one, one game, or one incident is larger than the program itself. This is what makes NEBRASKA football great.
  17. Left foot, right foot, it doesn't matter. All that matters is that the coaching staff make the right decision, and put the BEST FOOT FORWARD on game day and start the quarterback that gives the TEAM the best chance of winning.
  18. My sincere apologies to all that have read the post, somehow the editing features have gone haywire on my computer. My appologies for all of the errors.
  19. First and foremost: YES, THERE WERE TERRIBLY OBVIOUS POSSIBLY EVEN BIASED CALLS AGAINST NEBRASKA REGARDING THE A & M GAME. However, at some point deep down you HAVE to admit you NEVER leave the fate of a game in the hands of a referee. (Before immediately posting negative response please refer to first sentence). There are very few instances where in fact, two teams have gone head-to-head for almost 60 minutes before one final play decides the game and possibly subject to a referee's call (again refer to the first sentence of this topic). I am as much of a BIG RED fan as anyone here. As hard of a pill the A & M loss was to swallow, the game facts can not be ignored. 1. Martinez was kept in the game WAY to long. No doubt he is the best quarterback NEBRASKA has when HEALTHY... I repeat, HEALTHY! Of which he was not possibly even before the game. At this point does the coaching decision to keep him in that long come into play? (possibly another topic). 2. Roy Helu Jr. did not get enough touches, PERIOD !!!! How do you not give a running back that has played as good as he has, more carries? Yes, Burkhead played great but how much better would have the TEAM (yes that's team) have faired if the carries had been shared keeping "fresh legs" in the game? (no one knows, just a thought). 3. "DEFENSE WINS CHAMPIONSHIPS". The defense played MAGNIFICIANTLY! Most college coaches would give an arm or leg for holding an opponent to 9 points, and those stats. (look at average college defensive stats now). 4. Bo Pelini had every right to be furious about the play calling. Everyone has a breaking point, and when you CARE so much about something emotions are going to come into play. That's passion. Passion is an emotion. 5. Refering to #4, If you want to see a true raving lunatic, watch just one quarter of the Arizona Wildcats football coach Mike Stoops. Here where I live this circus clown has actually become hilarious and more entertaining and productive than the program which he is the Captain. To summize, there were terrible referee calls against the Huskers. Martinez was played for possibly too long. Bo was obviously furious with the referee's poor calls and the teams performance. And alas, there lies the subject of the topic. At some point every young man that has the HONOR of putting on a NEBRASKA CORNHUSKER football uniform, has to ask himself: Did I play every down as it is the last? Did I actually give MY ALL each and every play? Did I HONOR those players, fans, and the student body that has come before me, and all that will come after, everything that it is to call one's self a NEBRASKA CORNHUSKER.
  20. Don't loose sight of the big picture. Stay focused and win the North, and then the Big-12 outright. Next, DESTROY whoever your bowl opponent turns out to be. History will read that NEBRASKA was the last and final Big-12 champion. Take the current Big-10 conference by storm next year. Watch with smiles as the TEX-ASS & OKIE-HOMA schools fight for whatever conference title they'll be canabalizing eachother for. Living well truly is the best revenge.......
  21. Stay focused on the big picture. Win the North, then the Big-12. Destroy whoever the Bowl opponent turns out to be. Waive goodbye to all of the TEX-ASS schools and history will read that NEBRASKA was the the final Big-12 champion. Take the current Big-10 confernce by storm next year and watch with smiles as the TEX-ASS schools fight for whatever conference title they'll be canabalizing eachother for. Living well is the best revenge.....
  22. Be thankful you're not a HUSKER fan stuck here in AZ like me. Then you could watch a REAL nut on the sideline, MIKE STOOPS! Can anyone say "the circus is in town"?! Football is an emotional game, things are going to happen. Again be thankful you've got BO, not a clown like Stoops.
  23. I finally found this site and I'm happy to be here. I just wanted to say it could always be worse. You could be stuck here in Az. with me, being forced to watch the BIG RED on your computer because it's not televised in this area! It's great to see people so passionate about BIG RED FOOTBALL! Remember we're all lucky to be fans of an AWESOME program with great tradition and college football's BEST FANS! Everyone has an opinion and the right to express it, which is why we live in the greatest nation on the planet. It could be a lot worse, you could be stuck here in AZ. with me watching college football being played not in a stadium, but under a circus tent (see post on Mike Stoops). So GO BIG RED, and remember "DEFENSE WINS CHAMPIONSHIPS"!
