Long time lurker. Never post. tschu I am a Broken Bow native. We've probably played against each other before. It's been a heart wrenching day in the community. I go to school in Lincoln and still can't sleep over this. My mother taught with coach Blum, he was a great young man and had a bright future in front of him. teachercd I was a student, and athlete and most of all a friend of coach Harvey's. He had a great part in shaping myself and many other students and athletes from Broken Bow. This has been a grave day for the town of Broken Bow. Two men passed on and 2 students fighting for their lives. I know both coaches are watching from above and helping these young men in their fight. Please everyone send your prayers in the direction of this small community. Parents, students, teachers are all devastated. The Indians will rise from this and honor the men who have passed and help the young men recover but we sure could use all of your prayers. Accidents like this really help me to remember how fragile life is and how what you have one minute can be gone the next. I don't want to sound needy here but we could really use all of your help right now. Thank you all and God bless. bowsker

It was a tough tournament for everyone there. Ended up only weighing in one fish but that was the same as most of the field, ended up in 23rd place so not a bad start to the season, another keeper coulda bumped us up quite a ways. We send 2 guys to Kentucky Lake in a couple of weeks, I'll update when it gets closer to the tournament.

Hey everyone, The Husker Bass Anglers, the University's sanctioned club fishing team, opens up the 2011 season Saturday with two of our guys at Lake of the Ozarks. Hey everyone I just thought I would pass on the word about our club team. The Husker Bass Anglers are an official university sanctioned club team at the University. This will be our 4th year as a team and we are looking to build off of a season last year that saw multiple top 15 finishes and several runs at tournament championships. We're excited to get fishing this year, our first tournament is March 12 on Lake of the Ozarks. We hope to make some noise this year and continue on the momentum we built up last year. Quick question everyone. How many walk ons do we usually take? My little brother has been in contact with coaches for the last year and is in the running for a walk on offer. Just starting to get nervous for him.
