Exactly Mavric.
What a freakin' joke. The sad part is, it won't even be looked at.

Wow. I was back home for Christmas and made the trek to Lincoln to see everything...granted it's been 5 months, but sweet Mary there has been a lot done since then!

Guaranteed that the first sign of struggle this upcoming season the grumpy old fogies will be coming out in droves pointing to this exact day as an excuse that Bo has no control over his team and that time was wasted.
yup. thought the EXACT same thing. (btw - I think it is awesome. Good for Bo and the boys!)

The last thing I want to add before I put this issue to rest in my eyes is why the hell is this coming about 10 years later. What is wrong with these attention-craving dinglenuts that they have to crave attention to the point of ruffling 10 year-old feathers. That is bizarre in its own right.
personal opinion on this...I think it may have something to do with the Hall of Fame voting taking place. Could it be that Brown thinks he needs to get his name out there again so people will remember him? I think he was up for the Hall last year but didn't make it. Maybe he is thinking that "there is no bad publicity"

I like how Kelly said literally a day or two before the NC that he is at his dream job, and there is no reason to pursue an NFL job because he currently has the best job in the nation.
There is literally no loyalty these days.
nor men of character and integrity.

If he had to be "hands on" then he hired the wrong guy in the first place. There are what...20 other sports at the university that he has to oversee as well. Not to mention donors, and working out the political sh!tstorm that got the funding for the arena. A stadium expansion. Revamping the Devany for volleyball. New practice facilities. Coaching searches in the other 2 major mens sports. etc, etc, etc. I don't get fans that think Tom's sole job is to oversee the football program.
+a million. The AD is not just responsible for football.

Man...that took me back. Remember listening to that as kid with my dad while we were turning wrenched in his garage...

He is using an unoffcial to alabama

this should be Georgia's response via Clubber Lang:

If it is underdevelopment, do you think Kaz is the man to get this turned around?

Just bought the book tonight, been through the first 1 1/2 chapters. It puts a light on many of the stories/rumors we heard over the years, but nothing overly mindblowing, except that TO visited LP in prison when we were in SD for the holiday bowl vs. Arizona.
where did you get the book? I looked on amazon and it wasnt there. I know what I am asking for Christmas!

^^^ This. and quite honestly, I don't have a problem with it. Considering what he inherited...he has done an amazing job.
or he's proven that it's not all that difficult to get 7 wins in a down year for the B1G. their only win of any 'quality' is northwestern. they've been beaten by Ohio (not Ohio State), a 4-7 Viginia team, and tOSU/Nebraska. They played a cupcake schedule, and are 0-3 against the only 3 in the top 30.
when you're Penn State, regardless of the situation and you start out w/ Ohio, Virginia, Navy, Temple, Illinois - you should be 4-1 or 5-0 without much effort. Throw in Iowa in their worst year in a decade, Indiana, and Purdue and all of a sudden 7 wins isn't that spectacular. I think I could coach that team to 6-7 wins, and save them a couple million a year in the process.
just have to disagree. I am not a PSU apologist by any stretch...but like I said, what he inherited was dreadful. players leaving, program poachers and everything else...under any other circumstances, no, he wouldn't be in the conversation. But these circumstances are far from normal.

Sadly it wouldn't surprise me in the least bit.

Yup...totally agree Knapp! Been a great ride this season...heart attack style! Think the best is yet to come out of these boys!
-
We've played seven of the top nine teams in our conference (minus ourselves and Purdue), and we've gone 6-1 against them, a feat I'll put up against any team in any other conference.
I don't know Knapp...the way we've shot ourselves in the foot sometimes, it seems as if we are playing against ourselves!

I am amazed at how young some parents start having their kids play tackle football. Starting at age 7 or 8 (or even 9 or 10) really doesn't develop them to play when they are in high school. Those kids aren't learning any fundamentals or skills that can be carried forward to older ages.
As a youth football coach...I respectfully disagree.
