We made it all the way to page 2 before the David comp! Which, to be fair, is hard not to see. Undersized but speedy LB spurned by his hometown Canes who ends up at Nebraska - that's going to be tough to live up to, but you know he'll have a chip on his shoulder. And I'd take anyone with legitimate upside at LB at this point, that position is thin on underclassmen.

Miami had him playing as a MLB because of how he reads plays quickly and that is why I said Lavonte.  I could also see him playing outside because of his speed.

  3. Miami landed one of the hottest names in South Floridawith the addition of fast-rising Miami Central LB Vincent Shavers.

Shavers, a Miami Gardens native, stands 6'1 and weighs 200 lbs. He chose Miami over Maryland and Rutgers.

Shavers spent the last two years honing his craft at Monsignor Pace High School before transferring to Miami Central this spring. As a two-way player, he took snaps both at linebacker and running back.

According to MaxPreps, he totaled 56 tackles, 10 quarterback hurries, 8 sacks, 2 pass break-ups, 2 fumble recoveries, and an interception in just 10 games.

Shavers spent much of his sophomore year working as a stand-up pass rusher. His tally during that season was 69 tackles and 8 sacks, clearly showing his versatility and impact on the field.

Shavers' improvement this spring has been meteoric, generating significant local buzz, much like Stanquan Clark did last year. A source told Canesinsight that Jason Taylor watched him practice this spring and subsequently gave a glowing review to the rest of the staff.

This is what was said about Shavers when he committed to Miami.  Very good get IMO…

We could really use some more LBs, this would be huge. Wright/Gbayor/Bullock is fine for now, but then 2025 you're looking at Gbayor (Sr.)/Dylan Rogers/???? and we only have one guy in the 2024 class who might be a LB in Braylen Prude.

There isn't a thread about him but Miami commit, Vincent Shavers is also visiting this weekend.  Miami guys are saying it was a mutual thing.

I thought I read somewhere that there is a family connection with Riola's.

His Oline coach and Raiola are very close friends.

The 2025 guys from BG love Raiola also and I wouldn’t be surprised if we don’t get get 1 or 2 of them.

That tweet screams the 2024 OT from Vegas hence the dice. Big dawg is not referring to Raiola as a Georgia commit but rather the large stature of  the 6’8” 270 or so Rugeroli or however his named is spelled

I very much believe Dylan is already apart of the class

    Well, well, well…
