The only teams that I ever considered in the race were Okie STate, ArKansas (reluctantly), Bama, LSU.... Wisconsin (no offense), Stanford, and OU nevered looked the part in my opinion..... Wait...Arkansas looked more the part than OU? We must have watched two different seasons. Up until their first loss to TTU Oklahoma looked damn good. Arkansas on the other hand was always shaky That is what I meant by "reluctantly" when I spoke of Arkansas. They were in position because of two reasons 1) the SEC label, and 2) by default.... I was never impressed with OU, they struggled against a poor FSU team.

I see your point, but is that any reason to not put the two best teams on the field? The championship wouldn't be any more tainted then any other year where a one loss team has won the title. If LSU wants to be champion, beat em again. End of story. True but it bama wanted the championship they should've beaten LSU at home. This year just didn't work out well for the BCS. It happens. LSU in 07 was a joke. That's just the nature of the game though. It is a faulted system, LSU in 2007 was dumb, the SEC label carried them into that game....

By only beef with Rodgers is that he don't have a Vikings helmet on....

Aaron Rodgers can straight up ball, it is wierd to see him complain about anything, usually he takes everything in stride, the Brett Farve situation for instance.

I don't know if the NC was going to be handed out this year, but LSU and Alabama made it very clear, very early that they were the two best teams in the country. I hate the argument that there shouldn't be a rematch, tell me why there shouldn't be? Is it a little boring seeing a rematch, especially when the first game was ugly? Well, of course it is a little boring, but that doesn't matter, you put the two best teams on the field at the end of the year. LSU/Bama.... Side Note: It is nice to see that this thread started by HuskerinSunDiego has managed to not be closed (yet). Heres to that

Two issues that need to stay private until all is done. One is easy and will get done or it would if I were FAU. The second is more difficult but not a deal breaker but is one of those "it seals the deal if it can happen". I think it's pretty much done unless Akron makes a wild push of some sort which isn't expected. Probably couldn't coax you into further elaboration could we? :dunno

Nothing to do with it. DJ was a lifelong LSU fan. He's also close to his family, hence he'll be closer to home. Yeah, I was just putting a "Carl" related spin on it. Gotta keep Knapp of my a$$.....

Define confirmation. I read it on HuskerBoard so it must be true. RIGHT??? True? .... Questionable

Nebraska just got owned on the recruiting trail (say goodbye to Deion Jones).... Wonder if the Carl situation had anything to do with it.....

I'm leaning toward zero. http://my.journalsta...ect_for_bo.html Perhaps I'm wrong, but last I heard, there was virtually no chance of it happening. Maybe things have changed. I don't think Stoops would be a bad hire. I don't know how likely it is, but he seems interested, so there might be a chance.

FAU does not get to be picky.... When you are FAU, you just take what you get, and shut up....

Mike was encouraged to leave here and by encouraged I mean told he would have a job as season's end. Seemed popular to me... What would Mike have done that would have left to him being forced out the door? And how do you know? I'll be nice and say philosophical differences. "Beating around the bush", and using broad phrases that could mean a lot of things does NOT make you credible.... Not saying you're not credible, but your recent comments give me doubts.... Thats fine by me. I'm pretty sure I have no clue what I'm talking about. I've privately talked about it with people here in some detail. Somethings that aren't public knowledge don't need to be put out in the public. I've give a general paraphrasing of what happened in the past in the forum. Do a search. Its not my job to educate you repeatedly. I don't remember asking you to "repeatedly" educate me. I asked you a question, and you gave me a BROAD answer. I hope that answer wasn't your definition of paraphrasing, but no harm done.

You think he would go be a CO-defensive coordinator at OSU for Meyer (with whom he has no connections), rather then being a DC at Nebraska with a life long friend? Really?
-
Note that I said I am all for the Stoops hire.... Ekler was under the assumption that Stoops took the OSU gig, or something else....

I am all for the potential Mike Stoops hire, but here is a name I havent seen thrown out there.....Mike Ekler....
