  1. If we can get McMullen and one of the guys Papuchis is after at DE along with Valentine at DT we'll have an absolutely SICK underclass Defensive line group to team up with Todd Peat and Kevin Williams.

I do think since the only DE we grabbed last year is a JUCO in Carter we should probably be bringing in 3 DE's and just the one top DT this year.

We're in on a couple of those Good linebackers, and 3-4 good DB's as well.

hopefully we get 9-10 Really good defensive players in this class leaving room for 7-8 good offensive recruits.

Speaking numbers, what exactly is our scholarship allotment for this class?

    Last I saw was 15-17.

Oh ok, appreciated. I really hope we strike gold on some DE and LB prospects.

  3. Oregon has offered

    Tough to recruit against Oregon.

To be honest . . . this guys film isn't nearly as impressive to me as Fuller's. I'm wary of guys who look this uncomfortable throwing the ball.

Just looked at both pieces of film and I have to agree with you. I really like Fuller.

  4. I love this guy's tape! Would be thrilled if we get him! I see he is visiting us this summer, correct me if I'm wrong, so I have to think it gives us a chance. Does anyone have any idea of how much of a chance? Just wondering....

  5. There was the 2001 Colorado game. I only turned it off cuz I had to go to work though, not that I'm upset that I missed the rest of it.

I was vacation that week and watched that game by myself at an Irish pub near Central Park in NYC. I stayed till the end. But it was painful because there was a table of jackass CU fans flipping me crap. Jackass CU fans--I guess that's redundant.

Man that sucks. Luckily was on my way back to NE from So Car for Thanksgiving, so I missed the everything.

  6. Historically, I've never turned off of a Husker game. However the one time I didn't finish a Husker game was the '06 A&M game immediately after Zac Taylor threw the late fourth quarter interception. Was pretty bummed after leaving the watchsite because I figured we'd end up losing the game, because we lost to Ok State a week or two ago in a similar fashion so that led me to assume the outcome. When I got home ESPN displayed the final with us winning by a point or so. I was upset that I missed the ending and elated at the same time because we won.

  7. Yikes! I have a feeling this will be the most hyped game if the season! It will be devastating if they drop 1 or 2 of those 5 games, then come into Lincoln and steal a win. :bang

Since I really don't care about tOSU and their situation, what does the suspension all consist of? Sitting out just games or all football related activities until the 5 games is up?

OMG, don't say that. We don't want a re-occurence of the Texas v. Nebraska game of last year.

I hear you, but I do think that with last year's experience with UT the players and coaches won't fall into that trap again.

  8. This guy's measurables are out of this world with an offer list to match. Seriously, do we even have a shot at him?

Bo has been by to see him, but honostly, not really.

Ok, I figured. Kid seems like a special talent. Hope his brother makes it through.

  9. UGA, it seems I hit a sensitive spot with you. But to suggest that I go to another board is a bit harsh. I'm just posting my opinion. For the record I honestly like CMR and I think he's one of the better guys in the SEC, and even you can attest to that. From my time being in GA, I've gotten a chance to get a feel for the different schools and UGA seems to be one of the more progressive schools in the conference.

  10. Definitely the arrogance, the cheating whether it be paying recruits, oversigning or hostess visits, the lack of emphasis on graduating athletes. In many cases, not all. Before I joined this board someone likened the SEC to the old SWC in the 80's. They do win but is definitely done the 'Southern' way.

  11. New to the board, but I feel Martinez will respond well this season, for me more consistency. I feel he has taken way too much heat considering he was a frosh. Does he need to mature? Sure, every 19/20 year old has some maturing to do (sports or no sports). I agree that he struggled against top defenses, but Wats failed to put him in situations to succeed.
