I was saying if Solich had the Nebraska Players, he would have beat Pitt and Wake with no Problems and Blown out Main. Solich is getting simular results as Callahan this year. Solich doesn't have half the Talent of Nebraska. Solich problem was he wasn't as good as Dr Tom. But he is a good coach. Callahan is no Dr Tom either. It is possible that either or both get to that status but highly unlikely. There is only a hand full of Coach in College Football History that can be mentioned in the same Breath with Dr. Tom.

Wasn't OU a Option Team under Blake? (Wishbone) I hope you are right but looking at it as a realist. Here are some facts Team was 10-3 under solich. Callahan inherited a Top 20 Team. The excuse that Callahan inherited no Talent is just that, an excuse and nothing more. Nebraska had better players at every position against Main yet late 4th Quarter Main was only down by a TD and had the Ball. If I remember right, they were starting to gain momentum and move the Ball. Callahan in his 2nd season beat Pitt by one point. Solich in his first season with a MAC Bottom feeder Team also beat Pitt a week earlier. Callahan is known as an offensive guy. The Huskers Offense has become worse. Not as many Turn overs as last year but they are not scoring either. Main shut them down, pitt shut them down and so did wake forest. I beleave Solich would have crushed Main and beat Pitt and wake with little problems. Under solich we complained about getting shut down by teams like Texas and OU and still the offensive performances against them was better than what we are seeing now against weaker Teams. Solich last season had a improvement on recruiting. Not anything compared to Callahan but it was improved with the his new staff. Solich developed Talent. The players improved. I have not seen anyone improve on the Huskers offense since Callahan took over. How about we just blame it on Dailey? He didn't improve playing for Callahan. But neither has anyone else. Hmmmm,,,see a trend here? What Team in the north has better talent than Nebraska? Callahan is the better recruiter......Solich is the better Coach.

Lets face it. Nebraska hasn't played like a Top 25 Team since their last Bowl game a few years ago. Huskers offense hasn't been playing anything close to a 50 Team. The Special Teams hasn't played like a Top 25 Team. Yeas they had the return game going against a DIaa Team but it was shut down by Wake. The D has played like a Top 25. The Irish have been playing like a Top 10 Team. They crushed Pitt on the Road who was Top 25 at the Time and beat Top 10 Michigan in the Big House. ND is better than any Team on the Nebraska Schedule. Other than Texas, I don't see a Team in the BIGXII they can't beat.

The Houston game was going to be Thursday night (First game of the Season). That is when Houston had the date set up with ESPN. That is why Houston on ESPN Thursday night.

The D-Line wasn't great last night. It was the LB play that created majority of the sacks. When the Huskers only rushed the 4 DL, they did not get Pressure. The LB's group is the strong point of this Team.

The most important areas I see the Huskers needing to improve. 1) O-Line - They were terrible in the run game last night. Pass Blocking could use improvement as well. 2) Recievers - They need to make the EZ catches. To be a Contender in the Big 12 they will need to make the hard ones. 3) Protect the Football - Ross and Nun both had bad Fumbles last night. Ross and the other backs will get the Yards when the O-Lin improves. For now they need to protect the Ball. 4) Play Calling in the Red Zone - 1 Yard line you need to punch it in.

Why do people keep saying the cupboard was empty? Those Players went 10-2 under Solich. The 3 Leading Tacklers last night were Solich Recruits The only 2 TD's came from Solich Recruits.
