Frost has my support because the decision has already been made to retain him, so I’m hoping for the best, despite the fact I think we are coach shopping next year.

I get that. Like I said the class is small. But if you gonna bring in 13 why not bring in as good of 13 as possible. What if you could close with a couple wandale talents who could help next year. That doesn’t change JUCO or transfer kids
Hey, I'm all for it. Especially with this shake up of coaches, maybe a couple gems start looking. I was just thinking it's pretty hard with early signing day coming up.

Plus some big name hires might be able to salvage this recruiting class by upgrading quality. Maybe numbers are low but solid rankings
We have plenty of young guys on the roster thanks to the covid year. We need stop gap from JUCO and the portal to make up for all the misses and attrition from the early cycles.

Mickey Joseph isn't coming here to coach WRs if we are going back to an option based offense with an OC from Army.

It's not Graham Harrell, but no one would be more pissed than Markese Stepp.

Hearing Graham Harrell for OC. Also John Garrison for OL. Ron Brown to be named RB coach. Mickey Joseph for WR. and Snyder as SPT

He can be "associate head coach" - heck, make up some sort of title for him
He can help cover up sex scandals and bring his girlfriends to practice!

I think he was saying Gabriel will want to go to Ole Miss. I have heard that Gabriel really wanted Lebby as HC at UCF. Now that he is at Ole Miss, it makes sense he goes there because they will be in need of a qb.
I do not know what transfer qb we get but Gabriel probably doesn't come here. I am okay with that.
Ohhhhhh, yeah. My bad.

I think we are probably coach shopping next year, but I’ll play the max hype angle.
We have enough coming back on defense plus a few portal additions to sure up that the defense remains serviceable. Frost finds a QB in the portal and some offensive staff worth their paychecks. Yesterday was enough to convince Frost to hire a special teams coordinator. The schedule doesn’t get much easier.

Frost said this week some guys would walk who haven’t made a decision yet. It’s nice that Tannor, Manning, and Payne are likely returning.

To be fair dude was handed a turd to polish and that turd was less smelly than the seasons before and after. I worry more about the reason he had to quit Minn, had to take a job like Rutgers OC, and then left on-field coaching to be a "special assistant to the HC". Can he hold-up to the rigors of coaching at this level?
It doesn’t matter anyways. Jerry Kill to New Mexico State with Tim Beck as OC!

Jerry Kill hasn’t been an OC since 2017 at Rutgers, where the offense was dog s#!t. Hard pass.

Looks like we should be after:
Kennedy
Grimes
Denbrock
Wilson
Lebby
Whipple
Gattis
Ruggiero
I could see Whipple or Grimes as possible targets. Both are making 500kish.

I really hope we don't storm the field if we win. I realize that's where the program is currently, but I just can't handle a real life confirmation.

No. I made a joke a couple times to put Masker in. Probaly when people were complaining about Martinez.
WRONG, we want Jarrett Synek!

Actually, they didn't. Line opened up at Nebraska 'pick' and was instantly bet up to Nebraska -3.5 or -4 depending on where you look. When the 2AM news came out the game instantly went OTB (off the board) and has now reopened at Iowa -1.
Someone definitely has a great middle opportunity

I am fine being critical of Frost, but I didn't see how Frost mis-managed the clock at the end of the game. They were in great shape with over 30 seconds left, 3 timeouts, and the ball at the 11 yard line. The holding penalty was a killer, but that really didn't hurt things when it came to clock management. I do think NU should have tried to get those 10 yards back on 1st and 2nd downs, instead of doing deep routes to the end zone, but that's still not bad clock management. NU didn't lose plays due to the clock running out. The goal was to score a TD with as little time left as possible, and then go for 2 and the win.
Agreed, one of the few times Frost managed the clock well.

for gods sake why burn it for two snaps in a nothing situation?
It’s very possible Adrian was going to be evaluated at halftime for the injury he took on the previous drive and Frost didn’t know if he would be available. Plus Smothers is the back up and gets all the practice reps behind Adrian. People are raging we didn’t put our 3rd stringer in there on our own 10?

Well I guess Frost is serious about getting more recruits from Texas if we are hiring a flameout P5 coach from Texas high school ranks.
