Who gets the nod at QB this year?

Recommended Posts

Hey welcome aboard EB. Joe Dailey will most likely still be the starter in week 2. Our other guy that was supposed to challenge him for the 1 spot recently had his spleen (?) removed so he is on the down and out for a while. And then we have a WRAStler locking down the 2 spot, so I think its safe to say Joe will be the guy. He's a pretty mobile QB with an accurate arm, after all he was recruited to run the option, so has some great tools. See his profile here.

So how are you guys looking right now? Are you expecting an up or down year? Look fwd to your perspective.

A little So. Miss in the house.

EagleBomber it's hands down Dailey. We have a bunch of freshman and a juco trying to get the back up position.

Hey EB you gotta give us a run-down of your team. What's it look like? You guys had a nice QB enter the game late last year. Give us you take.

Well guys,

To tell you the truth:

You guys saw an impressive Freshman come in late and move the ball down the field for us in last years game. However, the guy that came in after you gave our starter his 4th and final concusion of his career, will be the starter this year. He is a very talented player, even though he went 2 for 17 or something and fumbled 3 or 4 snaps in that game. It was a bad experience for him, but he settled in to become a solid QB winning 6 in a row for us, earning our 4th Conference championship and a trip to the Liberty Bowl. Hes kinda like a young Brett Favre, in that he has an oustanding arm, but is very unpredictable. We'll see how he develops. On defense, we lost a lot of starters, 4 to the NFL. We are young and inexperienced, but do have some talent. This is a rebuilding year for us, but do have 9 starters returning on offense, which we dont know if thats good or bad.lol We should be ok, but we'll see. Nothing like being tested early with games at Nebraska and Cal at home. C-USA will have its most competitve year since its inception in 1996. Louisville, TCU, Memphis, UAB, Houston, Cincy, South FLorida, including us, all have a great shot a winning the title. As for us, I think we will be looking at a 6-5 season, with losses to Neb., Cal, Alabama, Memphis, and TCU. And thats if we play good. Hope that helps, and hope you guys have a great season. By the way, your fans are the best. They showed true class down in Hattiesburg, and were nothing but nice when we came to Lincoln in 99. We wish nothing but the best for Nebraska Football.

Well looks like you passed that test just fine. And its safe to say this season should finally be officially called a "rebuilding season" for us too. Many were skirting that term b/c we have been so optimistic but this is just the plain hard fact.

You guys played a very good game EB - and we did our best to emphasize that with our greased pig impression all damn day.

Appreciate this.. and Im sure you will find nothing but the same even today after taking us apart in Lincoln. Enjoy this W you guys earned it. And if you happened to take the journey to Mecca, make sure you let us know how your trip went when you get back.
