HQW 4: TIME TO DUMP THE WEST COAST OFFENSE?!

In order to make a valid point about college offensive schemes, actual examples of teams results need to be made. What teams last year were in the Top 10 final ranking in DIV 1 that did not use the WCO or a close alternative (Tex Tech/ OU), but were successful with an option game? Air Force employs the option, but isn't, nor will ever be, in that category of success. OU and USC and Auburn adopted the WCO and turned their programs around.

The NU championship team offense of the mid-nineties is over and done. The same with the OU wiahbone. The same with the USC option. game. Player after player who has been recruited by BC has stated clearly their interest is in the WCO. They simply would have gone elsewhere had we not changed.

Living in the past in enjoyable for nostalgic reasons, but is not to be applied to today's offense.

:box I would like to see Joe D. make some visable approvments in his getting through his reads. One of the strenghts of the West Coast Offense is throwing to the running backs, but Joe D. never seems to get there. Our offensive strenghts are at the running back position, so why not try to get them the ball more?

I'd rather do texas tech's offense then this offense.

That offense took years to become popular. That statement doesn't seem to make sence.
