Why I'm cautiously optimistic about today vs A&M

Recommended Posts

First, are the obvious changes that took place this week. While not an automatic panacea, the installation of Dr. Tom has shot the character level at the top of this program exponentially higher.

Next, former players will be on the sidelines. Now these current players have to the look the past in the eye. Hopefully it will inspire better performance. It will be truly interesting to see how many former players show up. Let's hope for "droves."

Finally, A&M limps in here with problems of their own. They're beaten down as we are, maybe more. Only thing is, now we have hope - A&M may not.

Guess today's game will be about which side can get it back together better. Not terribly optimistic because the half time locker room talk will be from Callahan, not TO. Now, if TO talks to the players - and gives them the inspiration needed, that might make the difference. Just have to remember who is coaching and how good/bad he is.
