wsccubsfan19
Passion is what makes Nebraska football what it is. I log on to Huskerboard every hour or so, checking out the newest rumors. Unfortunately passion breeds scrutiny, which in turn makes Nebraska a tough place to coach. It may seem out there, but is there any chance that potential coaches are checking out sites like Huskerboard? I'm sure potential coaches would do their research, and a few search engine keywords can get you here pretty easily. I think that a few coaching candidates have stumbled onto this site, or one like it. I, however, do not think it to be such a bad thing. We need someone at Nebraska who can handle pressure. As much as I was a Bill Callahan fan, he wasn't living up to the scrutiny. Maybe the expectations from media savvy fans, both professional and amateur, will help weed out the "passion-challenged." Nebraska is no different than any other program that has had experienced success. You think it's a cakewalk at Ohio State, Michigan, Alabama, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, Texas? 2 years ago Mizzou fans were screaming for Pinkel's head. (although I don't think he received any death threats). I your team plays in a stadium that seats 80,000 or more, you're on the hot seat. Win or go home. Quote Link to comment
