If you have any doubts about Pelini, see this one stat.

 

Since coming back to College game, he has NEVER had an overall defensive ranking over 14th.

2003 (NU) - 11th

2004 (OU) - 14th

2005 (LSU) - 3rd

2006 (LSU) - 3rd

2007 (LSU) - 2nd
