Husker_Power Posted July 30, 2008 Share Posted July 30, 2008 Maric lands with Spanish club Aleks Maric has apparently reached an agreement with the Spanish professional club, CB Granada. According to a story on the team's web site, Maric agreed to a two-year deal with the team. The former Husker big man had spent the summer working out in NBA summer leagues. Granada plays in the ACB, the premier professional league in Spain that has 18 teams. The linked-to story comes with a translation courtesy of Google, which provides us this, uh, quote from CB Granada coach Trifon Poch: "(Maric) complies with the two objectives that we had raised: On the one hand, we consolidate the most of the inside game, and the position of Curtis, because no one escapes that their performance can be a mystery, especially at the beginning of the season, stopped after these months because of his injury, and other characteristics of youth and Maric suggest a very good medium-term development that will help us to be best."
