get huskin!
Went to my first NU game in Lincoln last Saturday (actually my first sports game anywhere except for some high school stuff) and it was pretty cool! Been a rabid Husker fan for a million years but just never got a chance to go to a game... So, I got the chance, bought some tickets and me and my brother drove about 600 miles and went to the game. I really enjoyed it and even tho it was a come from behind victory, I was extremely proud of our team and really impressed by their never die attitude and play thru. Both sides of the ball gave us a memorable experience and I got to 'scream and cheer and cuss and tear' just like at home (sans some of my better examples of creative profanity)!!! People around the stadium were very pleasant and helpful, it was just a very rewarding experience. I'll likely never get another chance to go, so this one was a pretty big deal for us... So, a THANK YOU to the 'never say die' offense and all they did and CONGRATS to the BUTT KICKING NU defense for keeping it all under control. Looked to me like both sides of the ball really contributed and that QB for Baylor was NO-ONE to overlook for sure! I'm still saying GANZ FOR PRESIDENT and I think our defense may get a vote too! Thank you NU! go big red! Quote Link to comment
topekahusker
Wow, it sounds like you can scratch one of the items off your 'bucket list' I still get goose bumps when I experience some of the things whenever I get back to games in Lincoln and I've been going to games for over 40 years. PS...I still get elevated blood pressure too when I experience some of the things... Quote Link to comment
