Once we have some stand-out athletes (especially at LB and in nthe secondary) and setter overall speed, well.... we'll have a great defense. Last year we finished what # 105 nationally? This year it will be about #60 or so (we went in # 66). Next year a top 25 defense? Maybe. Consider.... Alonso Whaley, Baker Steinkuhler, Quentin Toilola, Cameron Meridith, Sean Fisher, PJ Smith, Will Compton ---- that could be some good talent. So... we'll start inexperienced but feiry next year and end well. I do not see it a stretch to have a top 25 or so defense next year. And Barry Turner, Dennard playing D. Thenarse, Amukamura, West, Hagg, all with a year under them, some confidence and well.... why not? Quote Link to comment
