hskerprid Posted September 20, 2009 Share Posted September 20, 2009 Can anyone explain to me why my new VHS to DVD dubber is formatting my DVD's and then shutting off about 20 seconds later? Also, I had 5 games on my DVR that I recorded to DVD just fine, now, when I try to record games from the DVR to DVD it says that I can't record copyrighted material? I can still record games to VHS though! I didn't have this copyright problem until this year...what gives??? Quote Link to comment

I have Directv going into a Directv HD DVR hooked to a Sony RDR-VX560 Video Cassette Recorder/DVD Recorder. If the games are encrypted, why could I record last years Gator Bowl from my DVR to DVD?
