Roxy Posted October 17, 2009 Share Posted October 17, 2009 Tuna Casserole: 6-oz.s egg noodles 2 T. butter 1-can Cream of Mushroom soup, undiluted 1 tsp. Garlic Powder Shredded Cheddar Cheese 3/4 cup Half-and-Half Cream or Milk 1/2 cup sour cream 1/2 tsp. Seasoning Salt-or to taste 1/2 tsp. Fresh Ground Pepper-or to taste 1 small onion, finely chopped 1/4 cup Pimiento, chopped 1 small green bell pepper, finely chopped 1 large celery rib, diced 2 cans tuna 15 Ritz Crackers, broken in pieces Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Grease a 2-qt. casserole dish. Cook the egg noodles in boiling salted water; drain; then toss with 2 T. butter. In a large saucepan, mix the undiluted mushroom soup, Garlic Powder, Cheddar Cheese, milk or Half and Half, sour cream, salt, pepper, chopped onion, pimiento. bell pepper and celery; cook over low heat, stirring frequently for 15 minute. Add in the tuna; mix to combine. Combine the mixture with the cooked egg noodles. Transfer to prepared greased baking dish. Sprinke Shredded Cheddar Cheese over to top. Sprinkle top with broken Ritz Crackers. Bake for about 25 minutes. Quote Link to comment
