kansas husker Posted March 4, 2010 Share Posted March 4, 2010 Ribs are not the same if you use a store bought rib rub so I will include a recipie for that. Rib Rub: Mix the following 1/4 cup brown sugsr 1/4 cup sugar 1/4 cup paprikia And the following to taste (I use about a tsp each) Salt Cayanne pepper Chillie powder Black pepper If you want to sweeten it up add sugar not brown sugar the bown sugar has a lot of moisture and tends to clump together. Once your rib rub is made rub it in tob the rib meat well(if you are using baby back or spare ribs make sure to remove the membrane on the back side of the ribs). If using a smoker or grill put on low heat and grill for six hours flipping after three hours. If in the oven set to two hundred degrees and 8& Cook for two hours flipping after two hours. Do not add bbq sauce until the ribs are cooked Quote Link to comment
