The failed 2pt conversion and the events of the past month prove one thing for sure.

 

Tom Osborne always plays to win, never to tie.

And he does so honorably. Lots of big-time collegiate programs play to win, but do so w/ no respect whatsoever ( :hookerhorns ). That's what sets Osborne & NU apart.

just imagine if there was overtime back then...it would have been interesting to see how that game would have turned out...and how much it would have changed tom's legacy, because he is widely known for that move, ie his reputation as a person who goes for it all...

Yes, it seems N had the momentum at the end of that game
