JTrain
Hopefully there's a lawyer or law student in here that has some idea of what is going on here. Why can Athlon/Lindy's/etc. put a real college athlete (complete with name and photo) on the cover of their for-profit magazine, sell it for $8 and make tens of thousands of dollars off it. But videogames can't do the same thing? In fact thanks to Sam Keller videogame companies, aka the legal monopoly of EA Sports , might not even be able to use their likenesses anymore. So what is the difference? Magazines, TV networks, radio stations, etc. make millions off of players, but games are not allowed to. Quote Link to comment
bleedNUred
Good question, and Keller should just let EA do what they're going to do because they followed their guidelines and haven't done anything wrong. Quote Link to comment
