Offensive coaches need to start taking some blame

Recommended Posts

Im not going to criticize Watson or his playcalling because i honestly dont think it has been THAT bad lately BUT he does need to start taking some blame for mental errors on offense. We have too many missed blocking assignments (which is why he needs to let Cotton go), too many dropped balls (which is why gilmore needs to go), and we consistently turn the ball over. You can see "the fumbles are the players fault" but when it happens often then you need to also consider that the coaches may not be getting them mentally prepared or disciplined enough. Where is the discipline on the offensive side of the ball? Also, why do ALL of our qbs only look at one WR? Why dont they look at all their options? For instance, you look at wr A, ok hes not open then you look at wr B, c, etc and keep doing those progressions but I dont see our Qbs ever doing that. You can blame the players all you want but when this stuff consistently happens then you have to blame the offensive coaches for not preparing the players nor preparing the players to be play disciplined.
