Fisher ready to get back at it

Recommended Posts

They were called the fast and the furious. Unfortunately for Sean Fisher and Will Compton, however, it had more to do with the electric scooters they rode than the physical way they played linebacker.

Yes, it was quite the scene, albeit a disappointing one, on the sideline before Nebraska's season opener last season against Western Kentucky. Fisher, Compton and offensive lineman Mike Smith had broken bones and were getting around on scooters.

Now Fisher's attention is back on the football field as he returns from a broken leg. He hopes to reclaim a spot as one of the Huskers' top linebackers heading into the Big Ten, where the linebackers should see more action against teams that run more.

It will be good to have more deapth and experience at LB this year along with Compton back at full speed.

Linebackers look good, may need to rethink the Peso since we may face more teams who will try to establish the run, instead of the spread. Knock on wood that we make it through spring ball without any injuries.
