Iowa City Bars/Tailgating/etc

For those that are going to Iowa City this weekend and have been in the past, where is a good place to go pre-game and post-game for some good food & drinks?

 

Would love to find a bar or restaurant to catch some of the afternoon and night games with some other Husker fans.

And per my recent discussion with an Iowa college student:

• 15-20 minutes from downtown (bar area) to Kinnick. Downtown is East of river, Kinnick is on the West.
  
• Airliner, Joe's Place, and DC's recommended, but pretty much anywhere downtown is good
  
• Best tailgating - Myrtle Hill/Law lot which is about a 8-10 walk to Kinnick
  
• Good tailgating on anything off Melrose as well - food vendors & house parties
  
• Might be more tame atmosphere for tailgating/rowdiness, not only because of IA's season, but also lots of IA students are going home to Illinois for Thanksgiving
