HuskerNBigD Posted September 9, 2014 Share Posted September 9, 2014 Yikes, no wonder June Jones quit at SMU. Currently dating an SMU grad, this seemed to be the best for both parties. The university, especially some big time boosters, hasn't been happy with Jones since 2011 after the move he tried to pull when he thought he had the Arizona State job locked up. He came crawling back and it hasn't been the same since. Sounds like he wanted to resign because he wants to continue coaching and knows that an 0-12 record would not do anything to help his stock. Pretty sad when the university is more excited for basketball season than football season, especially when you're talking about a school in Texas. Quote Link to comment
