Nebraska had key starters missing on both sides of the line, overcame a couple of disastrous plays (the interception, the “butt-punt”) and still found a way to reclaim the Heroes Trophy. See more grades at the link The fact that the Hawkeyes couldn't win with things like the 'butt punt' says more about them than us. This was a game where both teams were trying to give it away but each was too polite or incompetent to pick it up. The whole game can be summed up with non-advanced blocked field goal. It was like two squads of Keystone Cops battling it out with slapsticks. In the end, Iowa managed to make the dumber decisions; and Nebraska walked away with the Middle of the Second Quartile of the Big Ten Trophy. Quote Link to comment
