Officials from the College Football Playoff are standing firm behind their original dates for future semifinals and national championship games in spite of a report that officials from ESPN and the NFL would like to see the dates changed. The Sports Business Journal reported that ESPN executives have lobbied to move next season's semifinals from New Year's Eve, when they could suffer a drop in ratings, to Jan. 2, 2016.

University of Miami officials apologized to North Carolina State after a fan shoved a Wolfpack player Thursday night in the final seconds of the Hurricanes' 65-60 victory. NC State's Anthony Barber was struck in the back by the fan, who was in one of the courtside seats at the Bank United Center. The fan's identity, if known, was not released by Miami officials.

According to WFAA-8 in Dallas, Terry Hendrix, who is incarcerated in a Colorado correctional facility, has filed a lawsuit against the NFL seeking over $88 billion in damages because of the call against Dallas in the divisional playoff game vs. the Green Bay Packers. Yes, Hendrix is seeking $88,987,654,321.88 from the NFL.
