Seen the Best and the Worst

I wasn't really a fan (too young) when Jennings was sucking the air out of Husker football, but I remember my grandpa talking about him and being absolutely thrilled when Devaney came here.  Even the couple of down year, Grandpa was happy just to have winning seasons.  From there, I've been an avid fan, spending all day watching the bowl games and knowing who had to lose in order for us to be #1 for our first MNC.  "Endured" the 8-11 win seasons under Osborne until he fielded the best college football teams to ever take the field in the 90s.

 

Tonight, I can say I feel I've seen the very best, and the very worst Husker football.  As much as that sucks, there are tons of college football fans that have never experienced the best.

 

My hope is, and my belief is that Greene and Bounds will get this ship righted, and I'll live to see the best again.  I will remain a fan in the mean time.
