Easy & Good Pork Sandwiches/Pics

This was my mom’s recipe and if you want a good and easy recipe for the Super Bowl, I think you would like this.

This has ketchup in it, but trust me, it will not taste like ketchup!  I made this yesterday.  It looks thick when you get all of the ingredients in the crockpot, but, as it cooks, the juices come out and the flavors all come together!  Do not cook it on high in the crockpot!  Cook it on low setting and the longer it cooks, the better it is!  If your crockpot has a warm setting, you can always turn it down later.

I eyeball the amounts in the sauce, it

just depends on how much pork I am using.  I like it to have a lot  of sauce! You can also use a pork loin.  I had lean pork loin left over, so I used that.

Recipe is for 1/1/:2 Cups cooked pork, but, if I use more, I just adjust the amount of sauce ingredients.  I used more pork, so I doubled the sauce ingredients.

1 Cup Ketchup

1/4 Cup Brown Sugar

1/4 Cup Water/(I Use Bottled Water)

2 Tablespoons Vinegar

Chopoed Onion & Garlic, To Taste

1 Tablespoon Mustard

1Tablespoon Worcestershire Sauce

Creole Seasoning, To Taste-(Opt.)

***The Recipe Doesn't  Call For It, But I Add It Because I Ike Spice!

Put all of the ingredients in your crockpot and cook on low for several

hours.  Turn it down to warm setting later, if you want.  The longer it cooks slowly, the better it is!  Stir once in awhile as it cooks.

When it was time to eat:

I spread the hoagie buns with softened butter and sprinkled some garlic powder on top.  I baked just the hoagie buns in a 350 degree oven for 15 minutes.  Be careful not to separate the hoagie buns!

Take the hoagie buns out of the oven and put buns on the serving plate.

Put pork on the top and bottom of the  hoagie buns.

Put the top hoagie bun on top of the bottom hoagie bun and slice in half.

***I sprinkled some Parmesan Cheese on top.  You could use coleslaw or whatever you like for toppings.
