Sounds a lot like the last coach we had also.Once Holgorsen took over, I'd say this scheme & design has been pretty good at moving the ball between the 20's.

Or maybe not running the same running play every times its 4th and 1 or 1st and goal at the 1 inch line. Everyone and their pets knew it was gonna be a handoff up the gut to EJ.Once Holgorsen took over, I'd say this scheme & design has been pretty good at moving the ball between the 20's.
But it's been lacking effectiveness at punching the ball into the end zone.
Maybe adding a QB with good running ability helps this for next season? I'm not sure. My worry is that it sacrifices the ability to move the ball in between the 20's if the guy can't pass well enough.
As long as it's not HH behind center on 3rd and goal from the 2 yard line,.. or 4th and One at midfield...... all of the time.... we should be okay.Or maybe not running the same running play every times its 4th and 1 or 1st and goal at the 1 inch line. Wow your take on DR is spot on. I was thinking the same thing with him not thanking the fans bc when he came out with his commitment video it was very moving with it being directed towards the fans and the journey. I think a lot of Husker fans don't necessarily want him back bc he is strictly a passing qb and feel that a qb that can use his legs is best suited to have success moving forward or bc they blame the family of handicapped the University. With all the Christmas gatherings I get to talk Husker football with relatives. The take on Raiola is ok we understand why he entered the portal and is looking for a fit to get him to the next level, Nebraska’s offense doesn’t really fit for him in terms of what we want to do, BUT the big question is why hasn’t he thanked the university and fans for the time he was here like pretty much all players do? The sentiment is either it was a messy ending or that he’s leaving an option to return? If he was earning $3.5 million here I’ll say he won’t get that anywhere else. The portal now seems to be QB saturated and Raiola wil fall in a pecking order. Does anyone think other teams will pay him more than what we did?
Has the ship sailed or would we entertain him coming back? Two big markers coming up in my opinion. Our bowl game and how TJ performs. And the end of the season coming up for many teams and potentially even more QBs shuffling around. As well as the portal officially opening and players coming off the board which will start a musical chairs environment.
The OL wasn’t the problem
He might try to come back here. Also not a good look is where DR ends up playing. Not many CFB experts are claiming that he can go anywhere he wants to go.
He screwed up his decision. Family decision or his own. He messed up.
So.He might try to come back here.
And if he comes back then he will probably be the starter even with a qb competition.
Ok. I guess. And if he comes back then he will probably be the starter even with a qb competition.
So Im saying maybe he didn't screw up his decision just yet.Ok. I guess.
So.
Yes he did.So Im saying maybe he didn't screw up his decision just yet.
