I mean, I'm rooting for Rhule and Nebraska and will watch every minute of the bowl game and care more than a grown man should, but coming off the Wisconsin win and losing the way we did to Iowa really took a big chunk out of my optimism.
It's really the opposite of hysteria.....it's the normalizing of disappointment.
I don't think you're being hysterical. But we must have vastly different internet algorithms if you don't think a large and vocal contingent of Husker fans are.
Which is odd to me because we have fewer reasons to be upset this year than last year. And the year before that. And the year before that. And the year before that. And the year before that. And so on. I know, it adds up, but that's hardly Rhules fault.
I don't understand how people thought Rhule was going to be a quick fix kind of coach, given his track record. In his introductory press conference it was stated rather plainly he was a program builder. And the program was at it's lowest point in 60+ years. Maybe a guy who has never turned a program around in 2 years was never going to turn the program around in 2 years. Although, he might be a bit ahead of schedule compared to usual.
