Buster posted a fake edited video FIRST to try and make a point…Notice how the dips#!ts don’t want to acknowledge this.
I posted the whole video which shows the context as being the opposite of what Buster was trying to show with the edited clip.

Even if it was "the democrats sabotaged it!!", that narrative doesn't speak to whether or not the deal was any good. Maybe they rightly sabotaged a terrible deal that would not have served Zelenskyy and Ukraine well.

The deal doesn't really serve anyone well. It doesn't actually give anyone anything. It simply would have created a slush fund that potential future profit from mining would have gone into (no physical minerals or right to mining). There's no guarantee that companies would even start mining in Ukraine IF the war ended. The biggest hurdles mining are obviously the the war itself, rebuilding the country's infrastructure to even support mining (could take decades), and the fact that (from my understanding) the geological surveys that are referenced for the desired minerals like lithium are from the Soviet era.

I honestly don't know how we recover from the situation we're in. The posts I see from people in their 70s are just unbelievable, as far as the garbage they fall for. They can't handle the internet. I'm sure it's the case with younger people too but it's much more pronounced at that age. Like, responding with literal Russian propaganda to refute something. I don't know how you stop people from being that stupid.

Listened in to my MAGA-loving coworkers today on lunch. They thought Trump did great on the SOTU because his delivery was so funny. All the stuff he listed that DOGE found as evidence of fraud is obviously true and they’re appalled at the Social Security fraud going on. They didn’t like that some Democrat got removed for yelling at him and don’t get why they’re so angry. They also were wondering when tariffs start.
I don’t know how one would even begin to pierce that bubble. I tried explaining to one of them once why I don’t like RFK Jr. and she legit thought I was insane describing actual objective reporting on him telling me to listen to myself.

Most of why I posted this was the Ukraine stuff. It’s incredibly low hanging fruit to be a decent, non-stupid human about. And they can’t do it even for that. Makes me pretty hopeless. Like maybe we were better off without the internet. I’d miss streaming services though. I’ll report back when I come to a decision.
