  1. I've got to get rid of two tickets to the Colorado game. The tickets are in section 37 row 64 with a parking pass in garage lot 9. Asking $150 which is face plus express shipping. Email shamb76@comcast.net if interested.
  2. RichRod was a terrible fit for Meeechigan from the start and this will end up being the icing on the cake if the NCAA has any balls.
  3. There will be some serious revisions to those predictions as the season progresses. Neither Nebraska nor Michigan will be playing in the Insight Bowl! NU will be in the Cotton or Holiday and Michigan will be lucky to play in the Motor City Bowl!
  4. 1) How long have you been a member of Husker Nation? Since 1993 (roughly 14 years) 2) What/who led you to The Nation? I moved to Nebraska from Texas and saw the light. I am actually a Husker converted from being an Aggie because I saw the error of my ways years ago! 3) Where are you from originally? Texas but I lived in Nebraska for 8 years. Never want to live there again because I despise the cold but I love game days! 4) Where do you live now? Houston, TX 5) Favorite Husker memory? All of the 1994 and 1995 seasons as well as most of 1997. 6) Worst Husker memory? Tough one. It could be the 19-0 shutout by ASU in 1996 when our beloved Blackshirt tore part of a tree out by my apartment after the game. Or it could be the 2001 NC game against Miami. The KSU loss in Lincoln in 2003 and the PSU loss 40-7 were also tough. 7) Number of home games attended? Roughly 20 8) Number of away games attended? 6-8 9) Favorite Husker memorabilia/apparel? My Husker jersey! 10) Favorite place to watch a Husker game? (section in Memorial, bar, friends house etc.) Any seat in Memorial Stadium or at home on my Big Screen 11) Favorite all time player? Cory Ross for all the heart he had as a player. Ahman Green is also a favorite as a running back. Favorite QB is of course Frazier and favorite Blackshirts were Grant Wistrom and Dejuan Groce 12) WCO or Option? Love the Option but WCO is where the game is now so I am learning to accept it. 13) Stevie Pederson or Billy Byrne? Byrne 14) Lil Red or Herbie Husker? Lil Red 15) Favorite Husker play? Gadget play to Eric Crouch to beat the Schooners in Lincoln in 2001. 16) Favorite game-day beverage? Red beer or Vodka and Propel 17) How did you find HuskerBoard? (referral source) The Godfather - Blackshirt And any pictures you would like to share (upload via the browse button below). Thanks for sharing your Husker Heritage!! GBR!!
  5. Thanks for the shirts Godfather. Houston now has the code!
  6. Callahan is lining up an all-star cast of recruiters, I give him that. He knows his sh#t on offense too as many of said he is the greatest OL coach of all time. The jury is still out on his defensive strategy and we have to give him until next year to prove himself. His leash is going to be substantially shorter with Husker fans if there is much decline in the performance of the defense next year. The Blackshirts returned with a vengeance. The secondary was f*cking exciting to watch this past season, especially against Michigan State and most of them will be back. The major loss is Demorrio Williams which is an issue but the defense better still be headed in the right direction or fans, including myself, will have less patience while he rebuilds the offense. Firing the whole lot of defensive coaches, who did a marvelous job rebuilding with not much new talent to work with, put BC's butt squarely on the hot seat from a defensive standpoint and he better bring the wood to rebuilding that staff. Not doing handsprings down here so far over Cosgrove and Blake other than from the recruiting standpoint. As we have seen at Texass, you can bring all the five star players you can pack in one year and still not do a damn thing with it. NU doesn't want to be in that situation.
  7. Danny Muy's Stepdad joined another board I belong to and he says that if Callahan attempts to establish a relationship with the rest of the Tallahassee 5 (four left after Danny), we have a good shot at them. Any players we can get out of Florida and away from UF, FSU, and Miami give us bonus points! Callahan is expected to be in Florida at the beginning of the week. He was reportedly charming Courtney Grixby at Central today. Stay tuned.
  8. Latest update - Pelini is still the favorite for the job but is tied up with SP over some material contract issues such as a buyout clause. Hopefully that issue will work itself out. Urban Meyer hit a road block with current coaches because SP wants to keep some of them and Meyer of course wants to hand pick his own staff. Rich Rodriguez appears to be a dead issue at this point because of his own contract buyout that would cost the Huskers between 500k and 2 million. Gill appears to not be much of an option. Remember not to believe everything you read. There are NFL coaches saying that they are not interested when in fact they probably are. Remember that Pelini did that last year and look where he is now. Latest info still shows a good possibility for an announcement tomorrow at the scheduled press conference. Recruits are being told that they will know who the coach is prior to their visits this weekend and this weekend will be a doozie recruiting wise. Stay tuned and GO BIG RED!
  9. Texas fans really need to think before they speak for a change. Mack the Slacker has done nothing in Austin despite brainwashing a bunch of top notch players into his vision of something eventually happening there. He has no conference titles and struggles to make BCS bowls. While NU has been struggling the last two seasons, we seem to forget that we have been very competitive nationally until 2002. If you look at the breakdowns in other major programs, they have been very long lived (ie OU all of the 90's) and ours likely is already on the way to being over. NU did what was best for its' program even though Solich is a great man. Texass can keep that hack of a coach as long as they want. He will never bring them to glory.
