  1. 2003 Penn State-Big game seeing how they embarrassed us the year before, 40-7. Never forget Josh Davis going up the middle for 179 'tough' yards. 05 Alamo Bowl vs Michigan-A flat out show of disrespect by some Michigan fans prior to the game made this one mean something even more than just a crazy game. Ola Dagunduro picking up a Chad Henne fumble, and Cory Ross taking it to the house to start the comeback. Terrence Nunn was money that night. 06 Texas-We're righting some wrongs, right? Well, almost. To this day I've never been so distraught after a loss. I will say though, it is one of the best football games I have ever seen. Brandon Jackson's touchdown run is the reason he's my favorite all-time player. Never forget the stands shaking when Lucky pulled up to throw to Swift on the Halfback Option Pass. 09 Oklahoma-Never and I mean never has the crowd been so electric from start to finish. It was the best defensive performance I have ever witnessed from the Blackshirts. Asante's hit on Tennell, O'Hanlon pretty much playing centerfield all game long. One game that I will never, ever forget. 09 Big 12 Championship Game-It hurts. I've never gone from being so elated, thinking we won, to so deflated. We just to have to bide our time until October 16, 2010. All the games I've been to: 2002 Troy State 2003 Penn State 2005 Pittsburgh 2005 Alamo Bowl vs Michigan 2006 Texas 2006 Big 12 Championship Game vs OU 2007 Texas A&M 2008 San Jose State 2008 Mizzou 2008 Colorado 2009 Arkansas State 2009 Oklahoma 2009 Kansas State 2009 Big 12 Championship game vs Texas
  2. When you have to "shut down" your offense all game long because it's effectively worthless.....well, that's putting an outrageously huge burden on the defense and special teams if you want to win games. With a truly great, great defense and good special teams we still lost 4 games (so far) due to our "shut down" offense. How many more superb defenses and years are we to waste with our "shut down" offense? IMO, and from what I've heard, none. And fwiw in the quarterback battle this spring and fall camp, do not, and I mean do not, count out either Taylor Martinez or Kody Spano.
  3. Exactly. I wonder if Pelini has looked at what's going on, and been like, "Damn if I had any resemblance of a good offense, I could be playing for a national title?" It's hypothetical, sure...but what if? If we had Ganz back for another year, would he have thrown some untimely interceptions a la a pick six? I don't know, and we never will know. Here's to beating the sh#t out of another Stoops brother's team in the Holiday bowl.
  4. good point. anyone have the stats on when/where our offense got the ball in that fourth quarter? or how missouri got the ball to score their 12 points? Mizzou had the safety, from when Henery threw the ball out of the endzone, a bull sh#t Blaine Gabbert touchdown run, and a field goal.
  5. Leaving Gretna hear about 3 AM. Norman is by far my favorite place to drive through on Interstate 35. Kansas Turnpike, not so much.
  6. Just look for a Whataburger place...they ain't hard to find down there.
  7. what does that mean? One thing & one thing only. We will beat Texas.
  8. I wouldn't eat too much the day he punches you in the gut. It will happen.

  10. suddenly a carbon copy of last year's team? Everyone hear thinks that they will absolutely roll us. To win this game, we have to play, Beamer Ball. Defense giving us good field position and even a defensive score. Special teams needs to be focused the entire game, preying on OU's mistakes, like a botched hold on a field goal, blocking punts, solid blocking on returns, and lights out kick coverage. If the defense, and this is a big if, can take a pick to the house, and give us 7 points, that would help out tremendously, special teams returning a kick, or maybe just relying on our special teams to get us a field goal. 10-14 points from our defensive and special teams units would be a huge advantage in the game. As for offense, if our other two units give us points, then Cody would just have to sustain drives. Don't focus on the homerun ball, just move the sticks, points will come with that process. Oh, and btw, since Landry Jones is a freshman, let's make that stadium a living hell for him, much like what we saw our own Zac Lee go through in Blacksburg.

  12. I think this game will wake us up big time. Not in the sense that we'll struggle, rather, that our offense will finally awaken from what seems like an eternal slumber. There is nothing wrong with keeping hope alive and drinkin' the kool-aid.
